That means it’s been TEN YEARS since I rejoined the fandom after my extended break. (What was I thinking?) It’s been an amazing ten years – so much great music, so many concerts (so much money!), and so many friends that would not be in my life were it not for this band. If you’d told me when I was 16 that 30+ years later this band would still be one of the most important things in my life I might not have believed you. But there you have it.

Thanks to Duran Duran for proving that even after years of separation you can come back together and make it work again, and make it even better than it was before. Sometimes getting older is okay!

Thanks to all the people in my life who started out as “Duran Duran friends” and are now just “friends.” You’re the best. The music’s between us.

I’ve been at work all day so I apologize for posting this almost last minute, but happy DD Appreciation Day to all of my awesome Duranie friends and followers! This fandom is the reason why I joined Tumblr in the first place. Y’all are amazing and I appreciate each and every one of you! Many thanks to @duranduranofficial also for being the greatest band I’ve ever come across. I’m so glad that I had the opportunity to finally see them live this year, it meant the world to me considering how much this band has continued to impact my life. Here’s to the many more fun memories on here that I’m sure will come! ♥
