Hello, you beautiful nerds!  I am thrilled and slightly overwhelmed to be nearing the 2k followers mark, which is INSANE and I love you all so much.  I like to do something fun for big follower milestones, and I’ve never done one of these fic giveaways before, but I REALLY like writing custom fics for people, and apparently like This Is A Thing, so I’m gonna do one!

when Abby finds out she’s pregnant she’s nothing short of terrified. Her drunken one-night stand wasn’t supposed to end like this, not when the person she actually loved was the one she sought distraction from that night and most definitely not when they were at war with half of the people around them

she curls up in bed and cries herself to sleep that night and the nights after that too, doubts and fears plaguing her, until bone deep exhaustion settles in, followed by the beginnings of morning sickness that she can’t seem to shake of, her body unable to keep up with the changes going on inside of her, her mind afraid of all the things that could go wrong, considering the circumstances and her age

Raven soon notices that something is off, and she’s worried but Abby shuts her out, afraid of her reaction, afraid of her rejection if she finds out

eventually she can’t hide it anymore, her stomach is growing and Raven is not stupid. The confession is followed by tears and Raven’s anger quickly turns into a burning heartache at the sight of Abby openly breaking down in front of her

despite Raven’s reassurances that she wouldn’t be alone in this, Abby shuts herself off, ashamed and not wanting to burden her, thinking she already had enough problems on her own plate and didn’t need to worry about her as well

it’s one night, Abby is halfway through her pregnancy, when she steps outside because she just can’t sleep and she finds Raven sitting in front of her door, the resolve on her face so uniquely her that Abby almost smiles at the sight before resolving to ask what she’s doing outside her door and Raven, as earnest as can be, tells her she won’t leave, won’t let her be in this alone, not now, not ever and Abby cries at that, silent tears trickling down her cheeks, and finally, finally let’s Raven in, her door and heart open and when she curls up next to her in bed, Raven softly caressing her stomach, so tenderly it makes Abby cry all over again but this time for all the right reasons, she thinks that maybe, just maybe together they will be okay after all

Doctor/Mechanic Fake Dating AU - Part I To deter Marcus Kane from making any further advances, Abby pretends to be dating Raven. Their facade is forced to continue with several functions involving Marcus and other people from the hospital over several weeks. It is Lexa who first notices the shift, when Abby and Raven’s pretend relationship begins to change and she worries about Raven’s heart being broken if the charade continues. (Ao3)
