"The fires burned during the day for three days. At night, Alicia barely caught a glimpse of the boat or its occupants. These people knew what they were doing. No lights, no flares, no flames. Little opportunity for detection.
She’d seen the boat as she watched the infected float toward it, binoculars trained on the bodies they’d lured into the sea. Alicia watched the blonde arrive by dinghy, kept watching long after she saw the woman kill the infected one after another. The other two piled the dead into pyramids on the pontoons they towed, the bodies joined by scraps of wood and rubber, anything the crew could salvage to provide more fuel. For three days the dead were burned until little but skeletal remains were pushed back into the sea."

Okay I feel like there is no rhyme or reason to the way I start a fic? Some of these don't match the order they were posted on Ao3, but thats their order in my fic folder. Sad another Elyza Lex and my Fabranger didn't make it but also can't find a link to where either of them are posted.
