I have two siblings. I love them to bits.
They are both strong, independent, black women and for the longest time I can remember, I looked up to them.
Never did I even think about them or others with different skin tones, as different from me just because we don't share the same colour of skin.
Because that shouldn't matter, humans are humans.
People shouldn't be discriminated for something like that. They shouldn't be afraid that someone will hurt them. They shouldn't have to be oppressed for something they can't change. They should be able to live their life.
It's the 21st century and innocent people are still being mistreated. Are still fighting for their rights and that's just plain wrong.
We should stand together as a society and as humans. We should treat each other with humanity and the respect everyone deserves.
Because Black Lives Matter.
Because Black Trans Lives Matter. Β
