Who is craving chicken wings right now?
Ever have those nights where you laying there in your living room and as you stare at the wall you begin to ponder about your existence? You wonder why you were placed here on Earth and what is your purpose? What if there is no purpose and you were brought on Earth by chance? That chick who came out of the egg most likely did not expect to wake up in a barn where their siblings are being exploited for their meat and their eggs end up getting packaged in boxes of 12 or cartons of 24. They are lined up like soldiers just waiting to get used like expendable commodity. That chick will one day grow and wound up having to face the guillotine and next thing you know, that chick is now dismembered like Osiris. We donât know what chickens think, but let us just imagine if that chicken had a conscious and it began to wonder what is its purpose. Does it serve a greater purpose out of the barn or is it meant to one day become someone meal? The chicken will wonder endlessly trying to figure out its purpose and then fate will come in and take the chicken to the next stage of its life. Death. Does Death ever wonder if it has a purpose other than killing things? Or has it come to terms about its fate and accepted the fact that its sole purpose is to bear death on whatever it touches? Is it better to accept ones fate rather than to endlessly wonder the âWhat if?â Luckily, we are not chickens and that chicken came of the egg solely for the purpose to either be eaten, bear more children, and maybe one day become a meal. For us, our fates are literally bounded only within the confines of Earth. We can ponder, we can accept, we can achieve extraordinary feats with our brain capacity and accessible knowledge found in libraries and the internet. Let us stop pondering the, âWhat ifâ questions and let us ask ourselves, âWhat can I do right now?â Letâs perform action rather than wonder about the things we could and couldnât do. Excuse me, my chicken wings are getting cold and I want to enjoy my chicken wings while I still have the chance.Â
