Welcome to Ireland
Patrick and I are alive and well in Belfield, Ireland. I wouldn’t want to mislead you and claim we are in Dublin, since we are about 4 miles away. However, we still have been able to explore plenty and find some great places to run. We found a small park nearby with a nice mile and half mile loop. We’ve also mostly mastered the campus. Today we road the bus into Dublin so we could do a run in Phoenix Park, which was awesome. The park is beautiful, huge, and filled with people and dogs enjoying the forests and fields. We attempted to follow a trail for a bit before I rolled down the hill into a thorn bush, so we turned around and went back to the less slippery areas. Our trip home was a bit confusing since we are still learning the streets of Dublin, but we made it home alright. Overall the weather has been great, around 60-65 everyday with a lot of clouds and a little sun. Great for running. We also had a fun trip out to the Cliffs of Moher. My only complaint was a few stops we made that weren’t really interesting or necessary, and the fast that we waited 20 minutes for some other students to show up which took time from us later in the trip. Regardless of all this, I’ve had a great time exploring a new area and getting to cross the country and back in just a day. And lets just not talk about class.
