Mary MacDonald and Dorcas Meadowes on a ferris wheel.
Taken by Lily Evans, 1976.
Pick apart, The pieces of your heart, And let me peer inside,
Let me in, Where only your thoughts have been, Let me occupy your mind, As you do mine
I can't believe it.
But this wasn’t even the funnest summer. It was mostly spent worrying.
Really? I've felt safer this summer than I have done for a long time. I realize that it hasn't been perfect, but I-- I'd rather stay here than go back to Hogwarts.
I can't believe it.
There’s only a few weeks of holiday left. Where the hell did it all go?
They say that time flies when you're having fun.
Dorcas Meadowes having fun at the seaside.
“She is going to get so wet, have you seen the size of these waves?”
“I know, it’s going to be absolutely hilarious.”
“Cruel, Marlene.”
“Cruel but true.”
Taken by Lily Evans who laughed a lot when Dorcas got wet and then felt guilty and offered to cast the drying spell for her, 1976.
I need to get out of this house.
Well, you don’t have to worry about that, do you? You’re my best friend and I love you like a sister, so you’re stuck with me.
I wouldn't want it any other way.
I need to get out of this house.
Well… Guess not. That’s why everyone stayed here in the first place, after all. To help each other feeling better.
And that's exactly what it did. I know that I wouldn't have been any happier stuck at home.
I need to get out of this house.
Yes, it will. I promise. And I’ll be there every step of the way. You’ll get over him, it’ll get easier.
Thank you, Marley. I honestly don't know what I'd do without you.
I need to get out of this house.
Doe…
Hey, it’s okay. You know you can talk to me about it, but if you don’t want to, we don’t have to. I just don’t want to see you upset.
It'll get better, won't it? One day I'll just-- I'll stop thinking about him and everything will be better.
I need to get out of this house.
Let me guess… is it about a certain male? *raises an eyebrow, moving closer to her to take her hand*
Marley, please. I can't--
I need to get out of this house.
You don’t really look fine, Doe… And I guess it’s not just because we turned my house into Saint Mungo’s a week ago.
Everything has been a little bit manic lately. I don't think anyone is feeling particularly 'happy' these days, are they?
I need to get out of this house.
Good! *hugs her tight* Now talk to me, love, you’re looking a bit down. And don’t tell me nothing because you’re acting differently as well. So tell me.
I-- -glances at her hands twisting anxiously in her lap- I don't think that talking about it is going to help. Even if I tried, there's really nothing I can say...
I shot for the sky I’m stuck on the ground So why do I try? I know I’m gonna fall down I thought I could fly, so why did I drown? Never know why It’s coming down, down, down
I need to get out of this house.
Yeah, we do live right next door to each other. So are you coming or what?
You'd know I'd never say no to quality time with the McKinnon's.
I need to get out of this house.
Oh. -looks down, nervously shifting her weight from one foot to the other- I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to…
Lily, I'm fine. Honestly. I'm really happy for you.
I need to get out of this house.
*frowns* Probably. I just… well, I don’t know. My mum may need me.
You'll still be close to James' either way.
