May 21, 2016 - 3rd Climb: Mt. Maculot It was my first Do-It-Yourself climb with new found friends (friends of friend). We rode a bus going to Lemery, Batangas and rode a trike to Maculot. We got there before lunch time and we're starving, so we decided to eat first. I ate Tapsilog. โ Minutes later, our guide, Kuya Ramil, gave us a brief guidelines on what are we going to face, what should we expect, what should be avoided etc. I didn't expect that it was Assault. I thought it will only be a chill climb for me but it wasn't. I remembered my Mt. Daraitan climb when I saw the trail. It was exactly the same but less putik (mud). I kinda nervous that time and it caused me to feel dizzy. Thanks to Kuya Ramil who lend me his white flower. We finally arrived to Summit around 2PM or 3PM. A breath-taking view took our attention. We took photos of ourselves (selfies) and group photos and the head to rockies. But unfortunately, an incident happened to my bestfriend. She accidentally slipped when we're on the way down to campsite. Her shoulders got injured. And because of that, she wasn't able to see the beauty beneath the rockies. I hope she'll have the courage to have a revenge climb to Maculot. I'm willing to accompany her. To sum up, I had fun. We had fun. And I can still feel my body aching. But thanks to GOD for keeping me higher and higher and higher with Him. ๐
