Hey Mariana, would you like some raspberry juice? Oh yeah! I'd love to... No, it was a fake, she has a mojito in her hand. We just liked the tray and we wanted an insta photo... It was the first time we left Pablito at home with his grandpas! It was for the best reason: Amalia&Jaime's wedding. He was 4 weeks old and it was our last day in Madrid after he was born. I have plenty of friends living in London that are becoming parents, and we all have the same hard feeling, our family is not with us to help, but we support each other as one big family. You know, friends are the family that you choose.

Work hard, play hard! Every day after work, instead of going out for a pint as I used to do old times, I have to, and want to, spend my evenings with this little rock star. Ana, my sister in law asked us what Pablito wanted. I asked the baby and he said (or babbled): a PLAY MAT. I didn't know what it was but apparently was the coolest jungle in the world! She got it from Amazon and honestly... It was the best gift ever! For you means nothing but for him is the best home safari. I can hum the mat's music by heart, but I don't mind, he enjoys it every single time we play it.

Take me back to: this beautiful, special and fun wedding. This was the last time I had a proper drink in a year! 3 weeks later I found out that I was pregnant... When you are with the love of your life, all the hard times of being new parents become the most special ones, it's not the typical cheesy phrase from Instagram. You have to spend your life with somebody who makes your days easier and if you are laughing all the time (specially when you are crying), even better. I love you morritos!

One of the best parts of being on maternity leave (apart from the sleepless nights, hormones doing whatever with your mood, feeling strange in this new post-pregnant body… And million more), are the plans with your other mummies! So, I went to Channel’s exhibition at the Saatchi gallery with two other friends, it means, no Q’s for the prams or pregnant girls, lucky us!

My dear Ari sadly left us 9 months ago to live her own adventure in Italy. I’m happy for her but miss her soooo much! It was Marta’s birthday so she came to London to celebrate it with all of us! So mummy got a babysitter and had so much fun with these pretties. The day after was not fun at all when Pablo woke up at 7am asking for his breakfast 😫, but the hangover redeemed when I saw his fresh face from 12 hours sleep smiling at me… Love him!

Time to play with my "nenuco"! Every year, my friends from school in Madrid and I organise the Christmas Eve "aperitivo" (Spanish excuse to have tapas and drinks before lunch time). This year was pretty special because we had 2 new folks on board! We had the idea to dress them up to make them look more cute (yes, even more than usual), so my little one was the prettiest elf I've ever seen before! You cannot appreciate it from the photo but my friend Carmen looks like his mum instead of me! 😝

When you have the best friends, your life is easier. I just was told to be at 7pm at Marta’s and I had to wear baby blue. I have to be honest, I didn’t have anything baby blue in my closet (sorry but I still don’t), so I borrowed one of my husband’s shirt. Everything was pretty cool, the decoration, gifts, the outfits, food was the best! We were not expecting the final surprise, the baby shower was for my friend Maria and I, we were both almost 8 months pregnant. But the best came when Rosa announce that she was 3 months pregnant too! OMG we hugged her so hard and she was so excited!! Moments like this makes the difference…

I have to admit it, I am one of the luckiest person on earth. I have 1 sister, 1 brother, 7 sisters in law and 3 brothers in law (from my family side and husband's family). So, it is easy to find a hand when you need it. That is what happened to me the day before Pablo's Christening. He was just 3 weeks old and I was breastfeeding him every hour (literally, I had my beasts out all the time!). Then my dear Sara came from heaven and organised all the decoration for me and it looked amazing! Everything was just how I wanted! I just had to worry about my outfit... Imagine... 3 weeks old... But the truth is that my husband is the best in the world and he told me I was looking beautiful and it was all I needed! The day was a success and Pablito was an angel!

I was really scared about the maternity, I had the same thoughts as all mums (even if you want to admit it or not). Am I gonna be a good mum? Am I loving him enough? Am I going to look after him properly? However, when I saw that face for the first time... I loved him so much and that makes you the best mum straight away, you don't need a training or a course or MBA, that magically comes and you are not worried anymore. Believe me, I had never changed a nappy before Pablito was born... 🙈
