I’m lying here having a lovely relaxing Saturday. Im snuggled under my furry blanket and suddenly I got a flashback of some decisions I made in the past. The kind of decisions that makes you wish you weren’t so gullible and nieve.
My point is: though one can heal from and forgive her past; there is a lasting memory due to trauma. The kind that one is never able to walk the same again.
Before these past experiences I was a very open and free spirited lady, now I am and I’ll always be extremely guarded. Thankfully I am healed, healthy and whole again inabling me to love purely However; I carry out a heart check on everyone I come into contact with.
You see I was raised by a mother who constantly lived a life loving, helping and serving others, while the bright side is my siblings and I find it easy being givers, the dark side to this was I wasn’t taught: ’ everyone isn’t to be trusted ’ so I absolutely take some blaim in how I left my heart open for target.
I’m writing this for the #Youth of today in hopes to not save one but all from making poor decisions. Don’t be afraid to say no to negative choices, stand firm on your no and walk alone if you must until a positive and suitable friend/s comes along. Be sure that he/she is willing to accept you for who you are and not wanting to change you.
With the right people in your life you shall soar beyond your highest peek one day at a time.
