Intimacy and Vulnerability Avoidance Disorder (IVAD) ♡

Definition :

IVAD is a mental and neurological disorder where one is fully or mostly unable to express intimate feelings or vulnerability towards others. Let it be known that this is not due to choice or desire to not share these things, but from a literal inability, mostly in a form of mental block and/or intense, irrational anxiety or panic surrounding the act. PwIVAD also experience extremely low self-esteem, and: A) cannot perceive or think of themself as a sentient being. and/or B) experience dysphoria at being perceived and/or treated as a sentient being. PwIVAD also commonly have NPD and/or depressive disorders.

IVAD typically stems from childhood abuse, but this is not a requirement for diagnosis.

Unstable Thermoregulation Syndrome (UTS) ♡

Definiton :

UTS is when someone can feel extremely cold and extremely hot at the exact same temperature. Someone with UTS will, without outside factors, feel sudden heat or cold. Usually, this also presents with mild, on-and-off but still disabling chronic fatigue and a low-grade fever that comes and goes. PwUTS often also have chronic pain disorders like Fibromyalgia or Amplified Musculoskeletal Pain Syndrome (AMPS). UTS may be misdiagnosed as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), as the two are similar in many ways. PwUTS usually have milder fatigue in bursts, but it is exceedingly rare to be bed-bound or even house-bound.

Disorganized Train of Thought Disorder (DTTD) ♡

Definition :

A mental illness in which one has persistent disorganized thoughts which often result in obsessive intrusive thoughts of any subject, but with little or no compulsions. People with DTTD may also experience extremely vivid hypnagogic hallucinations, and have a hard time differentiating dreams from reality. DTTD may also cause speech impairment as it makes forming thoughts difficult, some people with DTTD may stutter, have verbal shutdowns, or need/use AAC. DTTD also causes bursts of paranoia, usually when the pwDTTD is alone at night. The pwDTTD may have uncontrollable thoughts of a gas leak, even if their house uses no gas. They may have vivid intrusive thoughts of dying in multiple ways to the point it hinders their ability to sleep or function.

Certain traumas DTTD also may come co-morbid with psychotic spectrum disorders, such as STPD or DD.
