Please retire or find a new job
Why do people stay in jobs they hate/don't like doing?
I get if it's easy, pays well, and/or you're comfortable but please, if it requires customer service and you're a nasty person, find another job that doesn't have it.
I say this because I've been in an office with no AC for 10+ months. I wouldn't normally complain if I could open a window and get some fresh air flowing but I can't.
Windows are just panes and they even leak when it rains. There was some bright idea fairy that suggested we use the air from the server room to cool ours. We took those down and got bitched out by nasty person because "that's not what those ACs were meant for." No shit Sherlock. We, as in the people that work in the hot office, are IT/ET and know how these things work. We all were just waiting for more shit to hit the fan and it did. We had to close that door and back to the hallway AC with industrial fans.
This is why I say, if you hate your job and you are nasty to customers, please quit/retire. Let someone else, who wants to do the work, get the job.
