Lesson 9, 10, 11 - 18th Aug
Please make sure you have completed all previous lessons posts before you move on with your sewing projects.
After lessons 1-8 are complete, continue with your sewing work - take photos at each stage.
Lesson 4 & 5 - Friday 11th Aug 2017
Today in your double lesson you are to continue with your sewing project.
Scissors, pins and fabric are available at the front. The machine room is open for anyone who is ready to sew. See me to help you thread your machine.
Tasks for today: 1) Take photos of you completing your project. Post them to Tumblr with captions.
2) Answer the following questions on your blog:
- Explain the project you have chosen and what progress you have made so far. (Give details about each step you have taken/completed)
- Explain what is to happen next.
- What was challenging about today’s progress/steps?

Final Journal Questions (Week 9)
1) Write a short review of your performance
2) Assess youself on how well you used your expressive skills and performance skills.
3) Give one example from your performance for 2 dramatic elements
4) Give one example from your performance of 2 theatrical conventions
5) Give one example from your performance of 2 stagcraft elements
6) Discuss what improvements you could make to your solo if you had more time (year 12′s you do!), or what behvaiours you might change if you had to go through this process again.

or *THE SERVANT OF TWO MASTERS we would like to offer you and your students the opportunity to attend a Catch-up /Revision session, in preparation for the forthcoming 2016 Drama and Theatre Studies exams. The details are as follows:
THE SERVANT OF TWO MASTERS Revisited:
on Tues Sept 27 @ 1.30a.m - 3.30p.m (second week of school holidays) at La Mama Courthouse Theatre, 349 Drummond St Carlton.
TALES OF A CITY BY THE SEA Revisited:
on Wed Sept 28 @ 1.30p.m - 3.30p.m (second week of school holidays) at La Mama Courthouse Theatre, 349 Drummond St Carlton.
IN SEARCH OF OWEN ROE Revisited:
on Thurs Sept 29 @ 1.30p.m - 3.30p.m (second week of school holidays) at La Mama Courthouse Theatre, 349 Drummond St Carlton.
Each of the study sessions will include a Q&A with either the relevant writer/director/or creator
and some selected video footage of the original production (if available).
These will be student centred sessions and we are happy to discuss anything and everything your students
need to know, or be reminded of, for the forthcoming exams.
Cost: $10.00 per person. Tea, cordial, fruit provided. Extra scripts available for sale @ $10.00 per script.

Additional Week 1 Questions:
In addition to the weekly questions listed below, in week 1, please also include the following questions/information:
1. Which solo have you chosen
2. Take a picture or screen shot of your prescribed sturcture and post it to your blog.
3. Post a link to your set stiumulus material.
4. Post at least 6 pieces of additional research you have completed/read/watched. This can be articles, sites, pictures you found, videos you found, graphs...
5. Complete a comprehansive brainstorm (as shown on the board in class) and either screen shot or photograph it, and put it on your blog.
6. If there are words you do not understand in your prescribed sturcture, look up their definitions and put this on your blog, too.
VCE Drama Weekly Questions
Please make sure you answer these questions in relation to your progress for this entire week.
You can either do a separate post for each question (attach pics and vids as well!), or do one large post. Up to you! BUT - EVERY question must be addressed in full sentences in a properly written out paragraph. One sentence responses will not be accepted. Treat this task as written exam preparation.
1. What progress have you made this week? This can be a list. (What have you added or acheived? What tasks/activities did you do? What parts of the prescribed structure/stimulus did you use?)
2. Describe how you used 2 different playmaking techniques this week.
3. Describe how you have applied one theatrical convention (transformation of time, space, character, object) to your solo.
4. Describe how you have applied your set theatrical convention this week.
5. Describe how you have manipulated one dramatic element this week.
6. Decribe one character you have created or worked on this week. Explain how you are using the espressive skills voice, movement, gesture and facial expression to create this character.
7. What do you want to change/add/achieve/fix/work on next week? This can be a list.
Please ensure you are using the correct terminology for each question - if you are using the wrong the terms, you will get an INC
