It has been a while since my boyfriend and I had went out to a party or any other meeting. We usually stay at home together for many reasons.
The main reason is Leon's anxiety and over protection of me. After years of experiencing deaths of his friends and close colleagues he has become way to protective trying to keep me safe from anything and everything.
Recently I had gotten a letter saying that one of my friends was going to have a party and I wanted to go. I usually don't like parties but this was a good friend of mine and I wanted her to meet Leon. All I had to do is convince him to come with me.
"Hey baby," leons soothing voice said by my ear as I felt his arms wrap around my waist.
I close the party invitation in front of me and turn around to face him, "hey love."
With a quick movement Leon put his soft lips against mine. He put his forehead up against mine and we sat in silence kissing. As our lips collided I started thinking of how I was going to bring up the party.
After a little while we ran out of breath and it was my time to speak, "honey bear, I love you," I started off with the normal love, "I know its difficult for you to go to places but I was wondering if you would come with me to a party?"
I watched his face, he showed no emotion but I could tell he was thinking about it, "I dont know if I could-"
"Baby please? We never go anywhere and I really want you two to meet." I brought my eyebrows up to open my eyes more giving a puppy eyes affect. "We dont have to stay long just for a little while." I tried convincing him.
His face stayed the same and he looked down a bit avoiding my eye contact, "I guess we could... but you stay by me the entire time ok?" He sounded worried and looked back up to my eyes.
"I promise I will not leave your side." I lightly smiled and gently moved some of his bangs out of his face. I could see the anxiety behind his baby blue eyes. He hated going to see other people and after everything he has witnessed i dont blame him.
It was the night of the party and leon seemed quiet. I felt guilt for making him come but there was no way he would let me go alone. We sat next to eachother in the car almost to the house.
Once I parked the car I looked over at Leon. He was looking out the window at the house, I could tell he was examining it. I placed my hand gently on his and he brought his eyes to me.
"This is going to be fine, I promise." I smiled at him trying to comfort him.
Leon smiled back but I could tell he wasn't fully ready. I looked over him to notice he was tapping his fingers against his leg. The anxiety must have been killing my poor baby.
"I'm ready." He said looking at the house.
"If you say so," I opened my car door and stepped out. He did the same.
I walked around the car to him and he tightly held onto my hand bring me close to him almost like he was shielding me from the small crowd. I lightly brushed his hand with my thumb to let him know its ok as we walked into the house.
It didn't take long for my friend to find me and run over to us, "Y/N she called out."
"Hey Kate," I said to stop Leon from panicking. I could tell he was uneasy from the way he held onto me but he was able to completely hide it from everyone else.
"This must be Leon I've been hearing so much about," Kate smiled looking at leon.
He smiled back keeping his cool, "I am, you must be Kate."
"Its nice to meet you," Kate shook his hand, "you can get some snacks or drinks if you want to, help yourself." She smiled before going to greet more guests.
"There could be something hidden in the food..." Leon whispered quietly almost like he was talking to himself.
"Its not honey, you don't have to eat or drink anything if it makes you uncomfortable." I leaned my head against his shoulder and lightly rubbed my hand on his arm.
I looked up to notice he was looking at something. I turn to see what he was look at and I noticed there was a guy speaking to kate. "What if he wants to hurt her?"
"Its a party with a lot of people here there is no way he wants to hurt her."
"I need to see for myself, just to be safe." Leon went to step forward but i stopped him.
"Baby you're being to paranoid, just leave them be." I gently hold his head in my hands.
"Please just let me look into this, stay right here i won't do anything I promise I'll just listen in."
I sighed, "if it'll make you more comfortable then fine but don't cause a scene."
Leon nodded and left me to see what they were talking about. I wasn't sure what made Leon suspicion about that man but Leon has been an agent for many years and has a good judgement of people.
I turned away so I didnt look weird just staring at them. I decided to look outside through the window. It was peaceful outside, quiet unlike all the voices chatting inside. I leaned up against the wall looking at the starry night when a voice caught my attention.
I looked over to see a familiar face looking back at me. "Kyle?" I said in shock. Kyle was an ex of mine, I use to date him back in Raccoon City but that relationship didn't work out.
"Y/N! I haven't seen you in ages, how have you been?" He said and walked closer to me.
"I've been good," I said. So far the conversation has been awkward but I'm sure he would leave eventually.
"So um, you're not with Leon anymore right?" He asked probably noticing Leon was not around me.
"Actually i am now, he's over there somewhere." I said hoping Kyle would take the hint to leave.
Leon didnt like Kyle that much and when they were younger they would just avoid eachother but now that they are a lot older they would most likely punch eachother on sight.
"Oh well if a guy can't stay next to his girlfriend for the night then she must be open for the taking." He said sliding closer to me.
"I- I'm not hes just-" I got cut off.
"He is away so I'll take you home tonight and we can hit it off." Kyle's arm reached out to grab my waist but I couldn't move away from it because the wall stopped me.
"No dont-" I said trying to back away.
Without a warning he grabbed onto my waist and pulled me to him. I put my hands up to push him away. His breath smelled like alcohol and his grip on me tightened.
Before I was about to let out a scream for help Leon grabbed onto Kyle's shoulder and pushed him off of me. I leaned up against Leon out of breath from fear of him.
"Hey man I was gonna-" Kyle started saying but Leon didn't even let him talk. He moved forward punching Kyle right on the nose making him fall back. A few people looked but most didn't think much of it seeing that Kyle was drunk.
"Lets get out of here," leon said holding me tighter then he ever has. I nodded in agreement and he lead me out to the car.
We got in and Leon noticed I was shaking. "If you hadn't come along..." I started to say.
"Hey baby it's ok I'm here now." He scooped me up off the seat and set me on his lap. I cuddled into his chest and hid my face in his neck.
"Did you find out anything while you were gone?"
"That man was her coworker that she had to fire. He wanted to try it with her and maybe get his job back which is why they were acting so odd. He eventually left and thats when I noticed your problem." Leon put his mouth up against my hair and gave me soft kisses.
"I can always rely on you to save me." I smiled and closed my eyes, completely relaxed up against him.
"I will always be there to save you my lovely."
