This blog has been resurrected following a long hiatus (thanks Veilguard!). Over the years, I've written a lot of fanfiction and will continue to do so for eternity, mostly featuring original characters, and also sometimes I write just fiction-fiction. There are generally a dozen stories rattling around in my little brain at any given time and that's the way I like it!

I treat my blog like a little dragon horde of things I think are neat and/or things that make me have feelings and/or shiny things that pop up and catch my fancy. I used to have a coherent tagging system but ALAS, that is no longer a massive priority for me.

The animated series definitely implies that one of the reasons that Essek is going to fall for Caleb is because he's going to be the first person to actually LISTEN to him talk about dunamancy, and then continuously reinforce how fascinating he thinks the subject is.

Like, Caleb might be the first person who will understand dunamancy on the same level as Essek and also WANTS to talk to him about it! It's obvious that, unspoken as it is, this is something Essek desperately craves and is not receiving, either on the side of the Empire or the Dynasty.

The concept of Astrid and Eadwulf calling Essek slurs and lowkey hazing his ass in the lab only for him to get pseudo married to their ex third (that of course they’re still in love with) and live in a little cottage with him and adopt a few cats WHILE said third is actively their coworker at the very school they trauma bonded and fell in love in decades ago. AND THEN he shows up at Astrid’s side gig book store job and embarrasses the shit out of her with his interns, specifically being like “my partner, your ex, says hi. :).” Insane play by Essek Thelyss, king of being petty and never letting go of anything ever.

Just wanted to do something for myself this morning, after another horrific night, as 600+ deadly drones and missiles of different types were launched at my home city of Kyiv. I am very tired. I can't just keep repeating myself every day. Just have to keep going.

Afterlight (free queer scifi romance!)

So I've had a creatively productive latter half to 2025, which means that I've written the human x alien scifi romance of my dreams and it's ready to share with the world! Meet Afterlight, 188k of humour, heart, drama, and betrayal -- in space! I'm updating it at least biweekly right now on AO3 (more updates/snippets on Instagram too) and will be releasing the entire ebook on January 1st once I finish the last little edits; it is 100% free because that is how I'm able to maintain the joy in this process. Do I expect any of my old Dragon Age pals will ever see this post? Not really -- but I wanted to be sure to at least put this out here anyway. I'm really proud of this frothy romance and I do think that, if you liked my writing in DA, you'll enjoy this too. My aim was, really and truly, to make something that I love and I hope that it may bring some joy to others too.

Oh, and I did get to write some 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ sex scenes, so that was also a fun exercise!

Google has once again force-enabled AI into everyone. Get rid of that shit by:

Go to your Gmail account.

Choose "See all settings."

Scroll down under the "General" tab until you see "Google Workspace smart features."

Select "Manage Workspace smart feature settings."

Toggle off both "smart features in Google Workplace" and "smart features in other Google products." This will not remove the stupid Gemini button, but it should disable it.
