just reached 3.3 and ofc i got the letter but i have a nitpick about phainon's letter. so here's the en loc of this letter:

now i will provide the original cn letter version of this bc i really can't with en localization keep butchering phainon/trailblazer's aibou/partner dynamic

it's pretty clear here in cn that phainon only addressed the trailblazer in the letter preview. idek why the en loc made it as if he's addressing to multiple people lmao. another one is the part in the letter "The only good thing I had done in this life was choosing to trust you, and becoming friends with you all" -> the last part should be "and making you my partner" instead of like that. that's only my nitpick and yea i hope they don't butcher 3.4 but knowing the en loc, they will 🥱

"dear partner" in the seal event i think got turned into -> "dear fellow" instead and according to JP text version of this, the trailblazer has a nickname for phainon which translates into -> "phai-chan" or "snowy" instead of that "fellow" in EN version

then next one is this:

this here: "希望有朝一日,我們能在星宿的見證下重聚.… 到時候,我們再擺一席遲到的慶功宴吧." -> Hope that one day, we can come together again under the witness of the stars.... And when that time comes, let's have a belated victory feast.

EN loc removed the word "witness" and "come together again" for some reason and i know it's not that big of a deal and some might say it's still the same but i still find it icky.

and now lastly, some cn player pointed out in the interview that this is supposed to be the trailblazer and the EN version is this:

yet the actual cn text is this -> "可是他喊我伙伴: 主播一表人才" -> "But he called me partner: The host is exceptionally handsome and talented."

the EN version remove the word "handsome" and the trailblazer's user is once again highlighted the word "partner" but they remove it. you cannot convince me that the EN hsr localization team is pushing some agenda and they're okay translating phainon's other relationships but they draw the line when it comes to Trailblazer?

in today's age where people still need to educate others because braindead mfs can't seem to understand that fanarts being reposted without permission are prohibited most by the artists unless you ask them/read their bio. it's not that hard but nope, you'll have them scrambling for excuses like "pinterest", "others also doing it" and soooooo many other excuses
