Since I haven't posted it in a while, here's my Nuka-Cola cooler backpack. I built it about five years ago, based on the ones from Fallout 76, but I didn't really like the way that that looked and thought I could do better, and I did better. I took a metal cooler and kind of painted it, the Nuka-Cola on it, and then wore down some of the sides for finish, and ended up making a frame out of metal and bolting it to the cooler and then epoxying it together, just so that it could carry weight because otherwise the bolts would have ripped right out. So it has an under part of the frame with it too to support everything that you can strap extra luggage on, like a bedroll or whatnot. I've primarily put stools there for when I'm fishing, or like a pad, so that I can sit on the ground. And then I wrapped part of it in pink paracord just to make it a little bit more cushiony against the back, and then used an old orange karate belt that I had from somewhere. I don't remember where I got that from. And cut that in half and then used that with some buckles to make the straps on it. So I use this quite frequently for fishing and other things. It keeps drinks and food, I wouldn't necessarily say super cold, but cool, even with the ice packs for at least 24 hours. So it makes it work pretty damn well. I've taken it to several events and had drinks with it too. So yeah, this is one of my all-time creations. It cost me about $150 to make. I know how I would do it a little different next time if I do make another one, but it would still cost about the same in getting all the materials together and especially with the time and all of that. I mean, to put it together the way that I did probably took about 20 to 25 hours, but I wanted a functional Nuka-Cola cooler backpack. It's the only one I've ever seen that's legitimate. Every other one I've seen has been cardboard cosplay that people take to conventions, but no, this one is 100% real. Just like with my license plate hat, if I'm going to make it, it has to be legitimate and it has to be usable.
