this is so sad alexa kill your ceo
Yâall know when Mulan is sitting in the rain and watches her parents silhouette disappear as the candle is blown out and then her eyes squint in determination and the music that starts to play and you see her go into the family temple and light a match and bow in respect and then sneak into her parents room and switch the scroll for her hair brooch and then the way her reflection is shown as she pulls the sword and cuts her hair?? Itâs literally more iconic than any marvel movie

The older I get, the more I find heterosexual couples soâŠweird. Itâs not that men and women are inherently different in irreconcilable ways, is that theyâre socialized to believe they are, and it shows in how male/female couples interact. There is this awkward, unnecessary communication barrier between them based on their perceived gender differences. This obviously doesnât apply to all heterosexual couples; Iâm sure there are plenty with great communication and so on. But the large majority of the ones Iâve encountered in the past few years just donât. Itâs uncomfortable to watch.
There isnât a single argument against open borders that isnât untrue and/or based in thinly veiled racism.
Iâm just going to start saying âthank youâ when men tell me âi love youâ. We can both not make sense.
Iâm a dietician. I had worked in the dominant weight paradigm for many years and I started to become disillusioned with what we were doing, because the majority of people gained the weight back after they lost weight. And I was the healthcare provider who believed I was promoting healthy lifestyles, I was not a healthcare provider who thought they were promoting dieting behaviors. But we asked people to weigh themselves regularly, we asked people to track their calories, we asked people to do eating disordered behaviors, under the guise of health. And I started to feel unethical. I also started to notice that it didnât seem to matter how much weight people lost, they still didnât like the size and shape of their body. And I thought âI can trust peopleâs bodies to sort this outâ, if we can just focus on healing. And focus on self-care, from a weight neutral perspective. Peoples bodies are gonna sort this out, it doesnât seem to be helpful to focus on weight, in fact it seems to be harmful.
We mourn. We remember. Â We stand with the LGBTQ community against hate and violence.
Robert De Niro saying âFuck Trumpâ on National Television is the type of content I live for.
