“Oh, shut up -- I ain’t seen you in forever! Just wanna spend some time with my oldest boy. Is that such a crime, or have you reached that age where you’re embarrassed to be seen ‘round your parents?”

He was more then content to just lay back and press against Hound’s warm- and thankfully now clean frame.  Mirage melted into his mate’s gentle kiss, scooting closer and closer until there was hardly any space between them.

“I’m so relieved to hear you say that.  We’ve so much time to make up for already.  And if anything happened to you now…”  He shook his helm, falling silent and listening to Hound’s soft venting.

Giving a gentle chuckle to his lover, Hound was happy to oblige with anything his mate wanted. It mattered not, a long as they were together -- and as long as they reinstated their bond within the next few hours.

“So much time .... And I don’t plan on wasting any of that time now.” Pressing into the kiss, Hound’s servos wandered downward, gently grabbing at cod plating around Mirage’s hips and aft, dipping digits into seams as he playfully held onto his lover. Oh, there were many things he wanted out of this evening -- he only hopes that Mirage would be wiling to give them all.

“I’ve returned from my mission! What’s goin’ in with you? Missed ya, kid!”

Mirage couldn’t help but shiver in excited delight as Hound finally emerged.  “You look divine, darling.  Truly.”  Tapping an empty spot on the berth with his pede, he wanted Hound up on the berth now.  

“I hate that you were gone so long, my love.  I missed you.”

Chuckling gently, Hound quickly moved to his lover, wasting no time in climbing onto that berth to slide next to his bonded. His servos were instantly on the spy, roving over his frame, caressing neck cabling as his lips descended momentarily upon gorgeous silver ones.

How he missed this, badly needed this. For a moment, the room was silenced within their sweet, ender, slow kiss, save for the machinations of their frames working quietly in the background. To hear nothing aside that, the gentle tick of their frames, a slide of a piston or two as they moved every so slightly ...

“I’ve missed ya so very much,” he muttered, pulling away from their kiss to lay dim optics on his bondmate. “I’m sorry I was gone so long ...  But I don’t plan on leavin’ any time soon.”

“Make sure to scrub well….!  I don’t want to see a single particle of grit when you return!” he called after his mate.  Snuggling back into the cushions, he settled to wait, knowing it would be well worth it.

Hound merely rolled his optics, chuckling gently as he worked the soap everywhere. Of course, he wasn’t about to actually skimp on this bath. He really did need one, and aside the rain he’d get from above while out on his mission -- well, nothing beats a solid sudsy scrub.

it took a good deal longer than normal for the tracker to finally be finished, but when he emerged, all fresh and shiny and -- well, he looked like a new mech off the lot.

Almost.

He still had plenty of dings, dents, and scratches all over his frame ... Plus, no matter how hard he tried, little blue paint flecks on his cod stubbornly refused to be removed.

He was torn, he really was.  Should he just lay back and let it happen….and then watch Hound scrub their quarters later as he sat back with a nice drink…  Or–be embraced by a mech that actually smelled nice.

“You.  Shower now.”

Throwing his hands up in the air, Hound stalked off to the shower -- but not before giving Mirage a playful -- though not to very nice -- facial expression.

“Fine, spoil-sport. I’ll be out in a jiffy!”

With that, he wasted absolutely no time in hopping into the shower. To be honest, he knew he really needed one. There was sand and dust in all his joints and even though he never really cared much, it was beginning to chafe. The hot cleanser on his frame was soothing and the tracker hummed and grinned as he made sure to get soap all over the place to get it all out.

Mirage frowned, pointing an accusing digit at his mate.  “You…are not touching me until you’re clean.  Have you looked at yourself?  You’re filthy!  You are not mussing my berth with dirt simply because you’re eager.”

At this, Hound gaped a little before letting out a small whine. “Ya gotta be kiddin’ me!” he pouted, approaching their berth as he badly wanted to play with his bondmate, their bond badly frayed and needing to be re-instated.

“Come oooooon .... We can shower tagether when we’re done.”

Mirage chuckled and as he reached his berth, he took great care to lay himself out delicately.  Propping himself up on strategically placed pillows, he wanted to look every bit elegant and fragile.  Anything to get Hound’s servos on him as quick as possible.

Hound had wasted no time in transforming at the entrance of the Ark, jogging through the base to get to his habsuite. He paused to say ‘hi’ to a fe mecha, but that was all -- he had to get home.

Finally sliding the door open, the tracker chuckled as he moved to their berth room, dirty plating and all.

He paused at the door, however, finally laying optics on a frame he hasn’t seen in quite some time.

“Damn ....” Hound breathed, his smile falling from beaming to soft and loving. That gorgeous frame laid out on their very large berth, looking positively adorable, drop-dead gorgeous, and ... Well, he felt that if he vented wrong, his lover might just fall apart.

Give me five minutes and I’ll be in our berth.  A far more comfortable spot to wait, don’t you think?

And, true to his word, the jeep kicked up even more dirt as he powered toward the Ark, wishing he wasn’t so far away .... or that he had lost access to the remote ground bridge controls.
