I have a indoor outdoor black cat (I call him my ball of darkness), I usually let him out whenever he wants and let him back in at night so he can sleep inside. At night he paws at the door so I usually say "Oh someone is trying to break in" since he is a loud cat when he wants something. One night I was on call with a friend when I saw my cat wanting to be let in and I said that. My friend dead ass stopped and sounded scared for me and I was just like "I meant my cat" then we went back to talking about random shit and insulting one another
