I am a finalist for the FFXIV fanfest Art competition in the Crafted Physical Works section: C-14. It's been one of my goals to enter a FFXIV art contest, and after 2 years, 3 iterations later, I finally finished this piece in time to submit for fanfest.

I got the dendro daddy!

I really like Alhaitham as a character, he's the perfect definition of a tsundere INTJ. His playstyle is a little hard to get used to since timing is important for his mirrors. I might use him as my burst DPS similar to how I use Venti as opposed to main DPS- Xiao and Kazuha.

I realize now that the goal to make 1 post a day was too much haha. I told my friends about it and even they told me that it was a lot. At first, it was an attainable goal during the holidays when everything was on break. But once life resumed its course, I simply did not have time between work, gaming and my projects. What progress I did make was not in vain. I’ve become more comfortable posting my work online, chatting in streams and in general more social. Not necessarily consolidated in Tumblr but around my various social networks. 

I’m not consistent though but at least it’s something as opposed to disappearing for years haha. I like this pace, it’s more casual, no pressure and still committed.

I've been thinking a lot about replacing some of my old devices. There's nothing wrong with them apart from being old, it's a testament of how well I take care of my belongings. Longevity is not issue but lately I wonder if it does hold me back. In the sense, I feel like I am missing out on the solutions of problems that have been solved with new models/ technologies. For example: My Wacom Cintiq wires take up so much space and ports that it often makes it difficult to use. While the new xpen 2nd gen tablets only use 1 USB-C connection and it can switch between states. No more needing an Intuos and Cintiq. My iPad does not have the power to make more than 5 layers for a 6000px canvas and my laptop crashes when FFXIV, Photoshop, Bambu studio and Chrome are open at the same time.

Overall, the test of time and my wallet are at odds with one another...

Ah, I disappeared again for a bit. I've been working on some really fun creative projects but they've been laborious as of late. While they are exciting, it does make me exhausted at the end of the day. Hopefully now that has died down, I can pursue posting again and work on my drawings and toys. As much as I want to finish my custom nendoroid toys, they are also labor intensive, so I'll be taking a break to get my energy back up. I haven't made any major progress in my game or my 3D printing/ crafting blog. I also haven't finished Harvestella. So maybe that's what I'll work on for a bit.

Replaying Fate GO has made me appreciate Genshin Impact’s gacha system even more. Genshin’s pity system is far more forgiving and calculating. You can predict your chances with a certain amount of probability. Fate GO, on the other hand, is complete garbage. There are so many servants in the archive now, chances of getting the 5* character you want is less than 1%. 

I spent 2 years of saved quartz to get Muramasa, it’s insane.

I promise not to break my New Years resolution again. Every year I wish I was more creative but maybe this year is the beginning to a new start!

Meet my bunny planet-like star (pending name)! Inspired at 1am and FFXIV Ea's progeny, a transparent gas-like planet in the shape of a rabbit that eats stars. After eating enough stars, it forms its own solar system but it is always hungry.

I've decided to play Fate Grand Order again but they've changed the way data has synced that I'm not sure I can get my old account back. I hope I can get it back, I spent money in it and got the characters I've wanted. I don't think I can re-play the game from scratch knowing how much I've lost. I hope I can get my account back in time to roll for Muramasa.

I also play FFXIV and Genshin Impact. Currently waiting for 6.3 and Alhaitham.

Back from the grave ⎧ᴿᴵᴾ⎫

Hello~ to all present and those no longer with us in Tumblr land. I'm back after a long hiatus, and it feels strange to be on social media again. I wonder if any of my old friends/ acquittances are still here.

Tumblr has always been rather special to me, unlike Twitter and Facebook, it was a place I felt comfortable sharing my thoughts and work (both unfinished & finished). I have sadly become more reserved and introverted growing up, I don't feel comfortable anymore even sharing my art outside work.

So I want to change that- 2022 has been a tumultuous year, but it is also a year of starting new beginnings. And with 2023 around the corner, I would like to become more active in social again (albeit in a healthier fashion).

My goal is to at least post/ micro-blog 1 post a day till I become more comfortable drawing and sharing my art again. If anyone here is still following me, I hope you don't mind walking this "new" journey with me. And if not, that's ok too!
