Supercorptober.

1. Leaves.

“Kara?” Lena’s voice rang out from behind the couch on the other side of the office.

“Yeah?” She called back.

“Have you seen my scarf? The red one?”

Kara moved to check the coat rack by the door. Moving some coats to the side she found the scarf. “Yep, I’ve got it.” She replied.

Lena appeared with a small smile, reaching for the scarf from Kara’s outstretched hand. “I could’ve sworn I left it by the couch.”

“Let me.” Kara spoke softly, stepping closer to wrap the scarf gently around Lena’s neck.

Taking her time with each loop of the red fabric, Lena couldn’t help the small smirk that graced her lips. “Thank you.”

“Of course.” Kara hummed. “Home?” She took Lena’s hand.

“Home.” Lena squeezed Kara’s hand.

The walk was brisk, as the chilly evening air was colder than both women expected. Kara offered to fly them the rest of the way home to get there quicker, but Lena shook her head. She explained that there was something comforting in the cold autumn breeze that had settled on National City. The leaves had only just started to turn, vibrant green still present amongst the changing yellow foliage.

“I can’t wait for fall, the colours are so beautiful.” Lena mused.

Kara nodded in agreement. “Have you been to Paris in the fall?” She asked as their building came into sight.

“No, not in the fall.”

“We have to go! The colours of the leaves are breath taking.” Kara explained excitedly. “It makes the city even more romantic.”

Lena gave Kara’s hand another squeeze as they reached their apartment door. “Remind me tomorrow and I’ll pencil in some holiday time.”

Kara’s smile was beaming in response.
