The day was filled with bright orange lights like always, Zimmerman sitting there, waiting for something to happen, his friend wolf leaning on a railing bar next to him drinking some Coffee. The Morning sun had just arisen, the atmosphere slightly tense due to the news of the cult's advance towards Könnte. "So..." Wolf spoke, bored out of his mind as he'd tilt his head slightly, glaring at Zimmerman. Zimmerman turned his head towards his friend, sitting in the metal chair next to a door, "So what?" He'd reply, the other Shepherd taking too long to say something.
"So What are we doing? Just waiting in this Outpost's Only Watchtower? We're officers, we should be running patrols around the city." Wolf spoke, the other Shepherd eying him. "You know, you got a good point." He'd say stretching as his knees bent with him getting up from the metal chair, as his radio would crackle to life, speaking up out of nowhere, forcing the Shepherd to flinch. "All Available Warriors, Prepare for battle, the KSDF (Könnte Space Defense Force) Has issued out warnings via radio of a Cultist Attack in the atmosphere. Set up positions in outposts and evacuate civilians in the A-O, Out."
The radio now slowly went static before turning off, the two officers looking at each other with concern. A breech in defense sounded nearly impossible to the two but yet remove the I and M and you'll get Possible. Zimmerman looked at his radio and back at his friend, repeating this dozens of times as he'd sigh. "You heard the radio, assemble a patrol to get the city out of Harms way." He'd say, Wolf nodding as they both would then turn towards the elevator behind which was pre opened. Around minutes later, they found themselves in the armory of the Outpost, grabbing helmets, armor of which was Metal Plated Vests.
"A attack of the fatherland..?" Wolf mumbled, other German Shepherds frantically putting on their equipment, some confident, some too confident, like Zimmerman. "This attack will be of no harm, a little collateral damage is all that will happen." He'd speak, twisting on his helmet, which covered his face completely kinda resembling a space rider helmet but heavily more armored. "Well if we dont hold at first, the space rid-" Wolf spoke, his words being short lived. "We won't need the space riders, we can handle our selves. And this planet already has a tightrope of relation with the man himself, Mr. Ludwig or something, so I doubt he would even come here." Zimmerman's voice was sharp, snapping at the line of space riders.
The Shepherds, mostly all geared up would begin to jog out of the armory, running towards the gate as Powered Anti-Air Missile and Laser weaponry would be manned by More heavily geared soldiers. "Get a transport truck, actually make it two transport trucks!" Wolf shouted out to Crewmen, who nodded, only seconds later the sound sweet smell of exhaust filling the air as the two trucks would begin to drive, Soldiers mounting aboard as Zimmerman would Jump and climb into a MG position. The Truck speeded towards the main populated parts of the city, the drivers using intercom systems to blurt out into the public. "ALL ONBOARD, EMERGENCY EVACUATION IS NEEDED VIA THREAT OF INVASION, WE ARE TAKING YOU TO THE BUNKERS!"
The normal civilians of Könnte looked at the trucks, outnumbering the capacity of these trucks combined 10 to 1, with more trucks pulling up along with Jeeps as a Convoy formed. "Holy mother of god.. That is a lot of civilians..." A Könnte Soldier would look towards the crowd, adjusting his helmet, hundreds of them mounting aboard the other trucks. Zimmerman would hear this, replying with a neutral face, "Well, this isn't even close to how much civilians we're gonna have to evacuate, us, around 35 strong, gonna have to evacuate around like 20,000 people while the KSDF holds the Cult up." The soldier looked at him his mind blown. Just as the same soldier was gonna speak, a explosion would be heard, ears ringing as a massive but not fatal unless close shockwave was felt. Sending Wolf Down to the ground from the Initial Shockwave, everyone confused what just happened as a massive fireball of smoke and fire raised from the distance, pieces of massive bulky ship parts or just, 10 FT or 8 FOOT big Shrapnel pieces flew across the sky in seconds.
Wolf looked up in silence, the rest of the group followed, explosions mid air and massive bulky destroyed hulls of ships falling through the atmosphere towards the ground, the hulls looked only similar to the KSDF ones, not the cultist ships. "Holy..." Wolf tried to rub his eyes just to meet his helmet with his hand, other Shepherds looking up seeing the same, civilians beginning to panic across the Sector's streets. "Y-Yeah.. Talk about holding the Cultists for a long enough time to evacuate everyone..." One soldier spoke, Zimmerman seeing this aswell as massive reddish dropships would begin to zoom in from the sky. This meant one and only one thing, the KSDF had failed to keep the cult away.
