Throwing it back three summers ago to July 2023 for a classic beach night that proved I am a master of tactical stalling. 😅 We usually head home long before dark, but on this particular evening we stayed out until 7 PM, basking in those glorious golden rays that make Vancouver summers elite. 🌅 As we bilingual pups know, we’ve officially entered 大暑 Dàshǔ — the Major Heat period of the Chinese solar terms — which means peak summer humidity, scorching temperatures , and a very valid excuse to protest any physical exertion. It’s been a minute since I’ve done a proper Throwback Thursday, so I’m reaching deep into the archives to Sunday, February 23, 2020. 🕰️ That was back in the "BC" era—Before Covid, before all our epic California road trips, and back when I was just a spritely 7-year-old pup napping on my favorite sofa pillow. 🛋️ It’s funny how "BC" also stands for British Columbia, which has always been my home base, but looking at these photos reminds me how much has changed since that quiet Sunday night.
