Throwing it back three summers ago to July 2023 for a classic beach night that proved I am a master of tactical stalling. 😅 We usually head home long before dark, but on this particular evening we stayed out until 7 PM, basking in those glorious golden rays that make Vancouver summers elite. 🌅 As we bilingual pups know, we’ve officially entered 大暑 Dàshǔ — the Major Heat period of the Chinese solar terms — which means peak summer humidity, scorching temperatures , and a very valid excuse to protest any physical exertion. True to form, when it was time to leave, I staged a dramatic sit-in on the sand and pretended I was far too ancient and exhausted to clear the driftwood logs. 🪵 Dad tried his signature bluff by walking ahead and pretending to leave me behind, but we both know how this game ends because I always win, and he always comes back to carry his stubborn little prince home. #ThrowbackThursday #MajorHeat #SummerNights #SchnauzerDrama #BeachLife

The FIFA World Cup might be officially in the history books, but the energy in Vancouver is showing zero signs of slowing down, and honestly, I think we’ve firmly cemented our status as the best host city on the planet. 🌎 I’m out here on Granville Street showing you one of the cutest setups left behind in the pedestrian zone: these little table-booths where you actually have to be the goalie with your feet while kicking a ball under the table! ⚽️ It’s the perfect way to keep the soccer spirit alive while you’re grabbing a bite, and it’s been hilarious watching people try to juggle their lunch and their goalkeeping skills at the same time.

Found this gem in the archives from August 17, 2015, back when my puppy training era involved me being "safely" sequestered in the fenced-off bathroom. 🚽 Dad had just headed off to work and was busy playing Big Brother on the Nest Cam at 8:16 AM, likely expecting to catch me causing a ruckus or staging a daring escape.

Little did he know, I was already a seasoned professional at the art of doing absolutely nothing; I didn't bark, I didn't claw at the gates, I just curled up for a nap like the world’s most well-behaved tiny gentleman. 🧘 That little entrapment phase didn’t last long, but I’ve kept that same "calm, cool, and collected" vibe for the last eleven years—mostly because I realized early on that being a good boy is significantly less exhausting than being a menace.

I survived ten whole blocks of the Khatsahlano Street Party yesterday, and my tail is still twitching from the sheer excitement of it all. 😎 It was a total “Khatsahlano Wonderland” out there, and I made it my personal mission to hit every single booth—mostly because I heard a rumor that being a handsome schnauzer is a valid currency for free treats. I spent the day playing social butterfly, running into my favorite regulars, making a dozen new best friends, and engaging in the most intense, high-stakes butt-sniffing sessions of the summer. 🤩 With over 50 music acts providing the soundtrack and enough food truck aromas to make a dog faint with joy, it was the ultimate urban safari. 🥳 My paws are tired, my belly is suspiciously full of samples, and I’ve officially confirmed that while the concerts were cool, the real festival highlight was me, everywhere, all at once. @khatsahlano #Khatsahlano #VancouverEvents #SchnauzerLife #StreetParty #Kitsilano
