anyways turkey is (not so) slowly banning all lgbti+ activities and it’s fucking scary. after banning every lgbti+ themed event without a time limit under the excuse of “security” and “morality” in ankara(capital of turkey) and shutting down the electricity + afterwards attacking students of METU who were screening a lgbti+ themed movie, a queer short films event was banned in istanbul under the excuse of, again, “morality”, “security” and with the claim that necessary permits weren’t taken(which is, i believe, is fucking bullshit). activists all over the country are concerned as shit and even considering closing down organizations so they dont get shut down lmao
