What app or website do you use for doing your art?

how did you start posting your work on tumblr / grow a following from 0 (assuming you made a separate acc for art) ? are you able to make sales for the inprimt shop through promoting on tumblr ? asking as a graphic design student that just graduated w an associates but it immediately tranferring to a reg college to go into the medical field , i want to still put some of my design skllls to use and itd be nice to make money too

First thing's first; I do not make much money through this. I do this mostly for fun, and take commissions to help pay bills and gain more experience and portfolio pieces so I can apply for a job somewhere. INPRNT has made me maybe $100~ since I opened the store over a year ago, and getting that money is a pain due to INPRNT's systems. It sucks, I do not reccomend it. As for growing a following... I'm fairly certain most of my followers here came from my other platforms (Twitter, most likely). Growing a following anywhere though is luck of the dice roll really. My hot tips: Be nice, talk to people, interact with fellow artists, and not just in a superficial way. Make friends! Compliment others if you like their stuff, and that good karma will come around. I don't really think there's a real way to make good passive income as a graphic designer unless you've got years of asset packs/fonts/prints for sale and you've got the following to actually keep sales up beyond the initial phases.

If you put stuff up on those print-on-demand sites and you don't already have a massive (and I mean massive) following, you might make some snack money once in a blue moon, which isn't bad I guess.

I guess what I'm saying is, don't get into this if you're into it for the money. Creative industries like graphic design only work well when there's passion behind it.

Whatever the case, good luck with whatever you decide to do, and I hope you find what you're looking for in life!
