1.I had a fight with my supervisor about a silly topic. My supervisor was trying to describe his opinion to me. Both of us were right on our positions, but we were not prepared to understand each other’s opinions. The situation was exasperated due to misinterpretation.

2. The fight continued for about an hour; it made me crazy. The thing I learned from this experience is that, regardless of the situation, we should be good listeners and should make efforts to adjust.

3. In this situation, until my supervisor had finished speaking his point, I could have stopped myself from asking any questions or making silly comments. I could have understood the situation and could have shown some respect and interest in what he was talking about.

4. I can’t exactly say here as I am still learning.

A theatre festival was held by my school,  when I was in grade 9. Dancers from different countries came to this festival and taught us their national dance forms. I remember, I met a broad range of people there and I was a member of Lithuania’s dance team.

The experience was unique and fun for me because it made me learn about different cultures and foreign languages. Interacting with multi-cultural people was exciting. I had so much fun.

I learned from this experience that I am an outgoing person and can adapt to different situations. It would help me to achieve success in future.

I believe I can use this insight to work in demanding situations as I communicate with both foreign and local people, influence them and inspire them to work for the well-being of the organization

High Performing Team

Our team was high performing team because of our regular efforts for math project. All of us were serious about the project and can handle all the problems and disputes with each other’s consent to achieve the grades we deserve.

I arranged all the material which was required for the project. I was a good communicator and a good listener.

I believe that all of us were giving our best in every task of the project and did very well. So, I would like to keep everything same in the team.

Disputes also developed in our team, but in  a positive manner; as it increases our ability to bear and to accept things and understand that every individual’s opinion is crucial.

If I get a chance to work again in a team, I would like to make one member of a team as a leader who can supervise the whole team.

Effective follower

 I will become an effective follower by these manners:

I would use creativity and will brainstorm to complete tasks assigned to me.

I would take part actively in conversations and give opinions and ideas to the leader when the situation needs.

I would take complete responsibility of my work and will work actively on that.

Blog on leadership

In my 10th class, the principal of our school selected me as a monitor of our class. During that time, I experienced a lot of things as I controlled the whole class by my own. I learned a lot of things from this. First of all, I learned that I can handle the situation. Secondly, I learned that respecting people and listening to their opinions is important.

I would like to describe my leadership style as direct and leading. I enjoy leading the tasks and planning the tasks. Along with that, I also like to involve with my team and motivate them, and I work along with them.

I would like to develop various skills such as working with various kind of people, working with different styles and approaches, to make courageous decisions in demanding situations and conflict resolution skills. Because quality of leadership is crucial to get success in future.
