Maverick blinked slowly a few times while trying to figure out how to respond to that. “ you know what’s annoying, being the only normal kid in the house. I don’t know what is it with you and Valerius hating your names. they are just names.” he nodded, smiling at having made her accept at least one thing. “ you mean dad and I ? you think I get along with him ? the only reason he’s not after me all the time because I do as I’m told, unlike you. there’s no point in being rebellious or a diva. ”

“Yeah and had mum had her way I would have just been Maddie not, Jolene. You don’t complain because you have the most uncommonly boring name out there. There are no songs with your name and your are not named after father.” Maddie explained once again with roll of her eyes. They had that argument at least once a month and they had been due for one for a while now. “I am not rebellious nor am I a diva. I just do what think it’s right for me, you are just still too bitter because I got you expelled.” She placed her hands on her legs before getting up with a sigh. “Talk to me when you get over it.”

Glenda let her shoulders drop and shook her head again. “no, I mean it, you are jolene right? your brother told me about you, that’s how much I know him.” she emphasized. “and I’m nice to people, I just get easily irritated.” 

“Don’t call me that!” Maddie said through gritted teeth. She didn’t understand why she kept emphasizing knowing him. It was true her brother wasn’t an open book but she had never heard of her before so clearly she wasn’t as important as she was implying to be. “Welcome to my world. Densaugeo.” She whispered the hex and smiled at the other as she walked closer to her. “And my name is Maddie.”

(¸.• ♛ → “I suppose it does.” Being Slytherin was part of her family, generations and she couldn’t break it besides, she likes her house and she was glad that they sent her there. “Nice to meet you as well. How are you liking Hogwarts so far?”

“Same for my father and his father and all that, but I ruined it.’ She mused with a smile. “I’m not loving it, but it is what it is. I did get... going back to Durmstrang is not in the cards, so I’ll get used to it eventually.”

“Sure, the stairs moving can be a hassle, but I think it’s fun too. It’s shakes up the day and is a valid excuse for being late places.”

“I personally think they are overrated.”

Maddie was sitting down at the steps of a small tea shop, wondering who she had been paired up with to show her around the village. She had hoped it would have been her older brother but of course he was preoccupied with prefect duties and couldn't attend the outing. A few minutes had become ten minutes and she began to wonder if she had stopped at the right shop. Finally deciding to walk in she approached the only other person who resembled a student. “Was I supposed to be meeting you?”

Looking down at her wand, Ted let out a sigh. “Twenty points from your house, for threatening a prefect.”

"Pathetic, please do it again and see how much I care... but before I do..." Maddie pointed her wand at his face and murmured a stinging jinx quietly enough for only her to hear until finally her wand sent off some sparks directed at him. "Have fun dealing with that, Mr. Prefect."

(¸.• ♛ → She didn’t know that Vale had a sister or anything but well, it didn’t really matter. “Black.” She answered, honestly she wasn’t that proud of her last name but she did speak like she was proud of it, the girl was very good at pretending. “My name is Narcissa Black.”

“Ah, that explains it.” She said with a slight nod, no longer surprised. Stories about her family had been spread around like wildfire, especially after her cousin decided to leave them. Maddie still preferred to keep her comments to herself though, seeing as her brother was now betrothed to Narcissa’s sister. “Nice to meet you.”

“ I wonder what made you think that ?” he sighed and leaned against a lamp post. “ really , Jolene, you are not going to find it out here. ” he looked at their surroundings and began to miss the bitter scandanavian autumns. “ you are better off in Ravenclaw because dad was right, Valerius gets more annoying with age. you are lucky you don’t have to deal with him all the time. ”

“Seriously Mave, how many times have I told you not to call me Jolene? It’s annoying.” She sighed and shook her head before sitting down on the grass. It was starting to get chilly in the Scottish Highlands, but not enough to make her want to stay indoors. “Fine I did get lost, don’t be a prick about it.” Maddie shook her head, finding it not surprising that he’d talk that way about their older brother. “What is with you two always going after him? We can’t blame him for being the way he is, dad made him that way. He made us all this way.”

Glenda didn’t take in what she had gotten herself into. she wasn’t good at duels and there was so much a protective spell could do. with her wand ready she was about to cast a protective spell, but then she heard the name. Mulciber. Vale had a sister, he had mentioned her once or twice but she couldn’t believe it. “wait, you.. who are you really ?” she lowered her wand and took a better look at the brunette wanting to hurt her. “you are related to Vale ?”

“So now you want a proper introduction, too late.” She kept her hand steady even after the other lowered her wand. Maddie didn’t care that the girl brought up her brother; eventually someone was going to make the connection. “I’m his sister, and whatever connection you may have to him won’t save you from this rude awakening. You need to learn to be nice to people.”

“ charming.” he said and shook his head. “yes, I did know, they mentioned it in the that pamphlet, are you actually going to tell me what you were doing? I’m not as stupid as you think I am. ” 

Maddie rolled her eyes, suddenly annoyed at whatever twin connection sixth sense he had. It was always that way; she could lie and pretend and deceive anyone but him. “You are just still mad that I got us expelled, but it was necessary, don’t you get it?” She replied with a slight shrug. “I was trying to find your common room. I belong there, not in Ravenclaw.”

(¸.• ♛ → “I know.” She says with a small laugh escaping from her lips. “But is not that bad our common room, I’m also from Ravenclaw so welcome to our house. I’m Emma, by the way.”

“Is that so?” Maddie mused. “Does it really not bother you  to have to make your way up every day after a long day of running around? Especially with all those moving stairs?” She wondered. “I’m Maddie.”

“A prefect, madame snotty.”

Maddie wasted no time to point her wand at the scoundrel. “What did you just say? You must have a smart particle in you to be prefect so you better choose your next words wisely.”

“Ugh.” she paused for a moment as she counted. “Six for each house, two per year.” she replied as she offered the other a kind smile. “It’s a lot of leadership so it takes the stress off.”

“That’s a lot, and this castle didn’t seem that big at first but I guess I’m wrong.” She sighed, taking a look at her surroundings. “I can imagine, my brother is one but I don’t know what sort of leadership he’s into since he never does anything useful at home.”

“Oh?” Pandora grinned at the other. “Is that so little lamb?” a small chuckle escaped her lips. “It is part of the fun that is true” she extended her hand to the other. “You can call me Pandora, it’s a pleasure to meet you Maddie.”

“Is it normal to walk around calling students younger than you little lamb?” She wondered. “If my brothers heard you call me that they would die of laughter. She shook the girl’s hand and smiled slightly before letting go. “Same.”

(¸.• ♛ → “That’s okay, I don’t mind.” She says now starting to walk. “So, in what house are you?” The brunette thought she was new considering what she asked but also the fact that she hasn’t seen her before.

“Ravenclaw,” she answered in a quiet tone as her eyes scanned the castle walls and corridors, attempting to make a mental map. “It’s a shame the common room is not located down here, I would prefer it over a tower.”

“Durmstrang, not drum stang, how can you call one of the best magic schools out there drum stang?” She wondered after having lost her patience. “Who even are you?”
