EW exclusive portraits of the Supernatural cast
Exams are one of the worst things ever invented. They destroy your mental health, determine your entire future and stop you from being a kid. Iâm in the first 10% of my life and exams are breaking down the happy days iâm having. Theyâre the reason i fall out with my parents, never see my friends and donât sleep at night. Tell me why exams havenât been modified to help the student instead of tear you apart????? I just want to enjoy my teenage years without constantly worrying about some stupid question which I wont remember in 20 years but which will decide whether i struggle in life or not. Iâm 18 soon and I feel like I havenât slept in years. Please - someone - get rid of these bloody exams!!!!!!
nvm they got cancelledÂ
Goodbye, itâs been fun :)
I cleared my room out a couple of weeks ago. Thereâs a cupboard which I rarely use in there. Upon opening, my first ever Harry Potter wand rolled out.Â
We found the old family computer a couple of days ago. I opened my profile and saw my first ever short stories.Â
I turned 18 in January and am happy to say that iâve beaten depression after a difficult 6 years! Iâve gained control of my eating habits, my lack of self-care and self-loathing. Iâve got a close groups of friends and a strong support network. Iâm happy.
Today, Iâve decided that Iâll no longer be writing imagines. Iâve been doing it since i was 11 so this was a difficult decision to make.
I got my Hogwarts letter in 2007.
I escaped the maze in 2014.Â
I joined the hunt in 2015.
I became a teen wolf in 2016.
Iâve loved Harry Potter for as long as I can remember. My mum & grandma were big fans. Iâve loved reading the books, watching the films hundreds of times, reading and writing imagines, visiting the studios countless times, watching the show in London, making my own posters and drawing my own pictures. Iâve made close friends through Harry Potter.
The maze runner found me when I was discovering imagines and gave me a thrill of excitement. While my love for Newt will never fade, itâs time for me to let them escape.
Supernatural found me when I couldnât find myself. Watching the boys grow up, they felt like the big brothers I never had. Sometimes, when I thought I was going to do something stupid, Iâd curl up in bed and binge watch my favourite episodes and they help my beat my demons. Meeting them was one of the best moments of my life. Hearing Jensen laugh at my joke made me so happy. Now that Supernatural is coming to end, itâs time for me to find my own way through the cross roads.
Teen Wolf helped me discover my passion for writing - and my love for Dylan OâBrien. They were the friends I so desperately needed when i felt alone.Â
I spent my summers reading and writing on Tumblr. This was my home when I was alone. Iâve had some of my happiest memories here, simply scrolling through some beautifully talented writers and their imagines.Â
Now that iâm better, and have found my way, Iâve decided to make room for the next spirit waiting to be ignited. My imagines wonât be removed and I wont deactivate the account - but this is the last youâll hear of me.
To everyone who has supported my writing, I thank you deeply. You donât know how much you helped.
I wish you all the best for your futures!
Love you all lots :)Â
You didnât really think iâd go without one final Dean gif, did you? ;)Â

Donât trust morning you. Morning you is a dick. Morning you would sell your loved ones if it got them 5 minutes of extra sleep
maybe morning me wouldnât be such a dick if that flaky bitch evening me had gone to bed instead of tumblring til butts oclock int he morning
Well evening me might have fallen asleep at a reasonable hour if that dumbass afternoon me hadnât lain down for a âlittle napâ that lasted four hours.
Soccer Mum - Father Sam Winchester Imagine
Status: Not RequestedÂ
Warnings: word slutty is said, brief mention of parent death
Word Count: 670
Music Suggestion: Lady, Please - The Magic GangÂ
Sadly, your life had begun like your fathers - your mother being snatched away from you at the ripe age of 6 months. Still, your dad Sam raised you to be a little solider with a nick of emotion. Even though he was only 23 when you were born out of a one night stand, heâd brought you up in a loving way. Yes, there was the whole end of the world thing like four times and the demon blood and the monsters and the angels and the....ok so no-one knew how you had been brought up so well. Your dad was lucky to have once had Bobby to save him every time you needed to be looked after. Of course Dean was a great help but for Sam, it felt like he was bringing up twins as Dean was just as badly behaved as you were.Â
Sam had done has best to make sure you recognised when self-defence was needed since you had just walked into your teenage years and your temper was now through the roof. He didnât want you getting into fights for unnecessary reasons but on occasions, he couldnât help but be proud at your outbursts. Today was no exception.
âDean!â You yelled at your uncle, launching yourself at full force at him in the centre of the super market.
He jokingly screamed in response, dodging you and running further down the isle with your snapchat account opened on your phone which you were desperately trying to snatch back.
âDean, (Y/N), stop it.â Your dad growled, clearly embarrassed by your display of childishness.
Like always, Dean and you stuck your tongues out and continued to act like five year olds.
âIs that your daughter?â A voice asked Dean.
On queue, Sam watched as you and his brother span round in unison, giving the soccer mum in question a once over.Â
âOh hell no. I couldnât look after that.â Dean laughed, acting disgusted at the sight of you.Â
âGood. I was about to say - if I were her mother iâd tell her that those jeans are far to tight fitting and quite honestly, inappropriate.âÂ
You were stunned at her words. Who was she to dictate what you could and couldnât wear? Seeing the flare spark up in your eyes, Dean took a subtle step back. Sam, on the other hand, went to move towards you as he feared he would have to quickly diffuse the situation.
âExcuse me?â You began - too late, your dad thought.Â
âOh come on, you can see how thatâs making you look slutty.â The woman argued, pointing a finger at you.Â
Deanâs eyes went wide and Sam was about to step in between the argument when you began your rant.
âLady, please. Youâre dressing like its 2003 and let me tell you something - that is a fashion crime! Iâm going to take a wild guess here and say that the highlights in your hair are part of the soccer mum awareness group. If so, you should be having a go at whoever did that monstrosity to your hair since you look as though youâve been attacked by a contagious skunk disease. In future, if youâre going to insult a 13 year old for wearing normal clothes, make sure you look half decent yourself. If weâve got a problem, take it up with the manager - Iâve heard thatâs the only field youâre an expert in.â And with that, you turned around and headed away from the dumb-founded woman who looked as though sheâd become redder then a tomato. Dean caught up to you, laughing so hard he thought he was going to pass out. Sam made eye contact with the now fuming lady, trying his best not to crack a smile.Â
Thinking he was about to apologise on your behalf, the âdistraughtâ lady crossed her arms and sighed heavily. âWhat she said.â Sam stated, before leaving the soccer mum in shock.Â
He was so proud of you in this moment.Â
Always With You - Father Dean Imagine
Status: Not Requested
Warnings: parent death, drunk driving, social services, parent losing custody of a child
Word Count: 1,778
Music Suggestion: Safe & Sound (From the Hunger Games) - Taylor Swift, The Civil Wars
After your mother had died in a horrid hit and run, your father Dean and uncle Sam did everything that they possibly could to keep you in their custody. They were unprepared for the wrath of your mothers parents back in Italy.Â
You were six years old and the light of your fathers life. You helped to keep his head in line and you were the final thread of his sanity. Even your uncle Sam benefited from the love you shared. You were their hope and everything more.
It was not to last.
---
Your dad knew your mother well, besides the one night stand. She had kept him in your life from the moment that she was made aware of her pregnancy. Heâd always told himself heâd be unable to be a father but the second he laid his eyes on you, he experienced a love like no other.Â
Your uncle Sam was primarily angry about the whole situation. Being the former black sheep of the family, he recognised the draw backs of having a hunter for a parent and didnât want you to feel left behind or forgotten, even if it meant never having a father. Yet, when Dean brought you home for the first time, Samâs only instinct was to hold you close and kiss your rosey cheeks.Â
Of course, when your mother became aware of the Winchester lifestyle, she wanted to place your under her wing and you protect you from whatever was out there until your final breath. But, as she recognised the fact that monsters werenât the only dangers in life and that a threat could be a person walking by in the street, she reluctantly opened up to the idea of occasional weekend visits.Â
They were not to be forever.
---
Years had now passed since your first âsleepover at daddyâs houseâ when you were eight months, and now you were dropped off every Friday that your dad could take you and picked up on the Sunday night. It was in most cases, the light of your week.Â
âDaddy!â You squealed, running into the arms of your bear of a father.Â
â(Y/N)â He squealed back in the same tone, spinning you round.Â
Once he placed you down you tackled Samâs leg, still not being able to reach his waist. âHow are you still so tiny at six?â Sam would joke, ruffling your hair.
âYouâre too big.â Youâd cutely defend yourself, poking him in the knee.Â
Cas was an odd one to you. You knew he wasnât the same as your mum, dad or uncle but you strongly aware of the fact that he was the same as family.Â
âHello Cassie.â Youâd say in his voice, mimicking the gravel sound he made.Â
âHello (Y/N)â Cas would say in a formal voice, oblivious to the fact that you were six and your manners came from your father (so they were non-existent).
A majority of your weekend consisted of playing hide and seek with your dad and uncle, confusing Castiel with board games your mum had packed in your suitcase, cooking with Sam and dancing to rock music with your dad.Â
It was the most fun you had. Yes, your mother made you laugh and giggle with her tickle attacks but to you, nothing beat at weekend at Dadâs.
That was until your mothers death.
---
You were playing in your bedroom while your mother watched reality TV in the living room. She yawned and stretched her stiff bones; working three jobs often wore her out and brought her to her tether but seeing you waiting at the school gates to be picked up and talk about your day made everything worth it.Â
That day, she planed on finally buying you the purple trainers youâd wanted for god knows how long. When your mothers best friend came round to watch you for a couple of hours, your mum came into your bunny-decorated room and placed a kiss on your forehead.Â
âBe good.â She said, before tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.Â
âYou too.â You responded, sharing a toothy grin at the sight of her smile.Â
That would be the last ever moment you shared with your mother.Â
---Â
Sheâd been crossing the road when the local drunk decided to swerve to the other side of the road to avoid the traffic lights, knocking your mother off her path.Â
When Dean received the call from your motherâs best friend to rush to the hospital, he felt a weight of guilt as he was unable to as he was on the other side of the country, following up on a case.Â
Sadly, your motherâs best friend had to explain that your mum had passed and it wasnât until two nights after that you became wrapped up in your fatherâs arms.Â
âIâm so sorry baby.â Your dad said softly, tucking you as close as he could into his chest as he laid down in your bed in the bunker. âIâm sorry I wasnât there.âÂ
âItâs ok daddy.â You whispered out through tears and snuggling into your dad, not truly understanding why your dad was apologising. Your innocence often warmed your fathers soul, but tonight, it only layered the guilt.Â
Heâd let you down, and not for the last time.
---
When it came to custody, your uncle and father thought that there was no doubt about it and that even though their lifestyle was dangerous, theyâd have no worries about having to suffer the loss of you been taking away. They could not have been more wrong. Â
When your grandparents came from Italy to attend the funeral of your mother, the looks and comments they gave your father and uncle set out the path for a bitter battle for you.
It began withe small acts - asking who you preferred staying with (grandma and grandad or dad and Sam), questioning you on what time dad put you to bed or what he put in your school lunches. It quickly escalated to your grandmother keeping a record of when your dad was late to pick you up or when your uncle lost track of you as you played in the park.Â
After a while, you father and uncle were told by social services that you could no longer stay in the bunker and that you had to stay with your grandparents for five out of the seven days of the week as Deanâs parenting style was deemed unsuitable âduring a period of grief for a childâ.
âBut sheâs mine.â Your father would growl every time your grandfather came to pick you up on the Sunday night.
âNo, she was our daughters.â Your grandfather would always respond, luring you out of the bunker.
Like normal, your father would bite back his words and tears as his hugged you goodbye, the separation hurting him more and more with each end to each visit. However, one day, an argument broke out and compared to normal, Sam was not able to prevent Dean from lashing out and pushing your grandfather, thus causing his hip to give out and the police to be called.
Then, the four were summoned for the court date.
---
During the wait, youâd being staying with your grandparents for over a month and when you saw your father and uncle, you attempted to run towards them and be picked up and span round as you usually would be when they saw you. Sadly, your grandmother pulled you back and into the court room, your fathers smile fading from his face.Â
The court trial dragged on for several hours as each guardian involved recited their reasons to have custody over you. When it was your turn to recite what it was like staying at your dads on a podium which was far to high for you, you glanced at your dad and uncle and sent them the biggest smile you could. They responded with even larger ones.
âSo, (Y/N), whatâs it like staying at daddyâs?â Your grandparents lawyer asked you as sweetly as possible. You didnât like her.
âAwesome.â You simply responded, earning a chuckle on your uncleâs behalf.
âI mean, what do you guys do to have fun?â That question would lead to the ban on your father and uncle ever seeing you again.
All you had done was answer honestly.Â
---
âI donât understand why I canât see my daddy!â You cried, pushing your grandmother away from you.
âYou know why my sweetie! Taking you out shooting, making up all the nonsense about Castiel being an angel and the moving around - oh my goodness - what kind of parent does that!â Sheâd cry in answer to your question, throwing up her arms to be dramatic.Â
The final time in which your father was given permission to see you was at the airport before your flight to your new life in Italy. You didnât quite comprehend the fact that you were never going to see them again and as far as you were concerned, you were simply going on holiday.
So, when your grandmother and grandfather watched like hawks as your father and uncle approached you, tears dwelling in their eyes, you only wanted to comfort them.
Sam gave you the best and biggest hug he could manage, never wanting to let you go. You returned it as well as you could, anything to make them feel better. âItâs only a holiday Sammy.â You sweetly explained, playing with the ends of his hair as he brought himself down to your level, hands running over your cheeks. âI know. Promise youâll be good and wont forget me?â Sam asked. âOf course I wont silly!â You stated. He returned with an emotional but weak smile.
When your father kneeled down, you could recognise the pain in his eyes. âWhatâs wrong daddy?â You asked, becoming upset at the sight of his tears. âNothing baby, I just donât like it when you go away.â He barely managed to choke out, running his fingers through your short locks as you wrapped your arms around his neck. âIâm always with you.â You comforted him, placing a kiss to his cheek.Â
Just like the first time he met you, he placed a kiss to your forehead. âI love you.â He uttered, sitting up as your grandmother moved forward to take you away.
âRight back at you!â You yelled out through a laugh as your grandmother took your hand and pulled you towards the terminal.Â
As you waved and turned around, not realising that youâd never see your father or uncle again, Dean replayed the words in his head as much as he could.
âIâm always with you.â
The way he walks off like nothing happened is what gets me every time
Women In History
I grew up believing that women had contributed nothing to the world until the 1960â˛s. So once I became a feminist I started collecting information on women in history, and hereâs my collection so far, in no particular order.Â
Lepa Svetozara RadiÄ (1925â1943) was a partisan executed at the age of 17 for shooting at German soldiers during WW2. As her captors tied the noose around her neck, they offered her a way out of the gallows by revealing her comrades and leaders identities. She responded that she was not a traitor to her people and they would reveal themselves when they avenged her death. She was the youngest winner of the Order of the Peopleâs Hero of Yugoslavia, awarded in 1951
23 year old Phyllis Latour Doyle was British spy who parachuted into occupied Normandy in 1944 on a reconnaissance mission in preparation for D-day. She relayed 135 secret messages before France was finally liberated.Â
Catherine Leroy, War Photographer starting with the Vietnam war. She was taken a prisoner of war. When released she continued to be a war photographer until her death in 2006.
Lieutenant Pavlichenko was a Russian sniper in WWII, with a total of 309 kills, including 36 enemy snipers. After being wounded, she toured the US to promote friendship between the two countries, and was called âfatâ by one of her interviewers, which she found rather amusing.Â
Johanna Hannie âJannetjeâ Schaft was born in Haarlem. She studied in Amsterdam had many Jewish friends. During WWII she aided many people who were hiding from the Germans and began working in resistance movements. She helped to assassinate two nazis. She was later captured and executed. Her last words were âI shoot better than you.â.Â
Nancy wake was a resistance spy in WWII, and was so hated by the Germans that at one point she was their most wanted person with a price of 5 million francs on her head. During one of her missions, while parachuting into occupied France, her parachute became tangled in a tree. A french agent commented that he wished that all trees would bear such beautiful fruit, to which she replied âDonât give me any of that French shit!â, and later that evening she killed a German sentry with her bare hands.Â
After her husband was killed in WWII, Violette Szabo began working for the resistance. In her work, she helped to sabotage a railroad and passed along secret information. She was captured and executed at a concentration camp at age 23.Â
Grace Hopper was a computer scientist who invented the first ever compiler. Her invention makes every single computer program you use possible.Â
Mona Louise Parsons was a member of an informal resistance group in the Netherlands during WWII. After her resistance network was infiltrated, she was captured and was the first Canadian woman to be imprisoned by the Nazis. She was originally sentenced to death by firing squad, but the sentence was lowered to hard lard labor in a prison camp. She escaped.Â
Simone Segouin was a Parisian rebel who killed an unknown number of Germans and captured 25 with the aid of her submachine gun. She was present at the liberation of Paris and was later awarded the âcroix de guerreâ.Â
Mary Edwards Walker is the only woman to have ever won an American Medal of Honor. She earned it for her work as a surgeon during the Civil War. It was revoked in 1917, but she wore it until hear death two years later. It was restored posthumously.Â
Italian neuroscientist won a Nobel Prize for her discovery of nerve growth factor. She died aged 103.Â
A snapshot of the women of color in the womanâs army corps on Staten Island
This is an ongoing project of mine, and Iâll update this as much as I can (Itâs not all WWII stuff, Iâve got separate folders for separate achievements).Â
File this under: The History I Wish Iâd Been Taught As A Little Girl
Part 2
Annie Jump Cannon was an american astronomer and, in addition to possibly having one of the best names in history, was co-creator of one of the first scientific classification systems of stars, based on temperature.Â

Joyce Jacobson Kaufman was a chemist who developed the concept of conformational topology, and studied at Johns Hopkins University before it officially allowed women entry in 1970.Â
Vera Rubin is an astronomer and has co-authored 114 peer reviewed papers. She specializes in the study of dark matter and galaxy rotation rates.Â
Mary Sherman Morgan was a rocket scientist who invented hydyne, a liquid fuel that powered the USAâs Jupiter C-rocket.Â
Chien-Siung Wu was a physicist who worked on the Manhattan Project, as well as experimental radioactive studies. She was the first woman to become president of the American Physical Society.Â
Mildred Catherine Rebstock was the first person to synthesize the antibiotic chloromycetin.
Ruby Hirose was a chemist who conducted vital research about an infant paralysis vaccine.Â

Thatâs it for now, part three will be on its way. (Josephine Baker was requested in the first installment, just know I did not forget her! Sheâs in a different folder, titled âfamous people you didnât know were complete badasses, and she, along with Hedy Lamar and Audrey Hepburn will be in the next installment :) )
Time to get over the âwomen canât do thatâ syndrome. We can do anything, and have!
