Alex from this new wayward show is just living in a reddit post that gets read by an ai voice over a tiktok of someone playing a mobile game....poor dude he'd solve this problem so quick with a reddit account but reddit hadn't been invented yet. tragic.
Me: I am not watching this military propaganda show
Me, after finishing it and lowkey crying: I shouldn't have watched this gay tragic military propaganda show

willās gay ass really only had mike on the mind when he was making that fuckass painting. he did not think about anyone else at all. he gave lucas a sword. he put lucas on a horse and gave him a sword. he gave the ranger a sword. he gave lucas āwrist rocketā sinclair a sword.

A Surrealist tapestry by Leonora Carrington
maybe it was the mind numbing depression i was experiencing at the time but when i first read the picture of dorian gray in high school i never quite understood why it was so famously gay. i definitely could feel it was a gay book and understand why it was used against oscar wilde, but i only saw it in the subtext for some reason. i think i was trying to see dorian as gay, and that was wholly the wrong place.
now after so many years i can finally see from the first couple chapters alone that basil is a homosexual of the tenth degree, henry may seem to have homosexual tendencies but is really just a hedonist, and dorian gray does not have the personhood required to develop a sexual orientation.
and that i was probably a massive idiot because it is so ridiculously obvious
also for a project related to the reading i drew a visual interpretation of some themes from the novel i donāt particularly remember, but the main thing is that it involved actually drawing a portrait of dorian gray. iām not an artist by any means but he ended up so lifelike i felt genuine distress while drawing him and every detail i added fatigued me. despite this i became obsessive with working on this drawing. iād be shaking and sweating in the back of a classroom completely tuning everything out adding details to his nose. i straight up basiled myself at 17 while being too stupid and depressed to even clock basilās tea

dustin henderson is a massive nerd who loves research. the whole ānasa engineerā idea is propaganda. he is absolutely not having a straightforward career path.
heās going to go into college a physics major, woo the hell out of his professors, rotate around a few labs, fall in love with biophysics, add a double major in biochemistry, bounce around both fields through grad school, and eventually dedicate his life to researching the biophysics of some random protein thatās only found in grasshoppers.
heās going to be a PI in his 40s in the basement of some private university in the midwest looking at his lab absolutely stuffed wall to wall floor to ceiling with terrariums, each full of no less than 150 grasshoppers, and heāll think to himself āwhat the fuck⦠i was supposed to be a rocket scientistā¦ā
but heāll stick to his research, maybe ease his way back into the physics and engineering side of things, probably solve protein folding or something (what, like itās hard?), and eventually get invited by nasa to head a research project on space medicine. heāll feel good about finally ending up at a nasa, even if itās not in the way he thought heād end up when he was young.
and then he gets laid off in 2025 no who said that he has a long and fulfilling career and is remembered as an esteemed biophysicist with a massive legacy in research and academia
I'm... so confused?
What was the purpose of the scene about queer signals, if Will was never going to receive queer signals? Why was the question concerned with the obviousness of signals, and not the mere presence of them? Why use the term "shared looks" when that was a known call and response on set for Noah and Finn?
What was the meaning of the snowball and avalanche metaphor? Why include that scene at all? Where was the payoff?
You're going to write an entire meta scene on queer signals of attraction, include examples that we have already observed, indicate an eventual pay off... and not let it pay off? Why? To be malicious?
You tell the audience through Will that Mike was just his Tammy this entire time and expect us to believe it? Was Tammy in Robin's video tape? Did Robin know Tammy since she was five? Did Tammy run after her in the rain or recognize her breathing over the radio?
And Will Byers never got kissed. Will Byers witnessed queer love, queer joy, and queer intimacy through a kiss at the beginning of the season, wanting that for himself because he's a romantic... and never even got kissed. Not even by his epilogue boyfriend.
low effort vol 2 doodles. fuck you
ok so mike IS just badly written. ok. yeah I'm not upset that my favourite character doesn't make sense
