Until the day...
wickedcalliope:
Calliope watched from a roof top curiously as the strange woman approached the humans in the alleyway. It seemed this woman meant the humans harm. Since she had been in town, she had not seen a lot of other magical beings that seemed to want to hunt humans. In fact, most of the violence she had seen were between the humans themselves. Vile creatures. It was becoming clear to Calliope that this woman hunted them, and that was putting it lightly.
She easily stepped away from the woman’s attack, keeping out of sight for a moment as the woman spoke. When her motives were revealed, Calliope grinned and stepped forward to the edge of the roof top, now partially destroyed. She removed her hood and peered down at the woman, her golden eyes glowing slightly, the grin still on her face. She found herself anxious to speak to the woman who seemed to share the same disdain towards humans as she. But she had taken her eyes off the humans, giving them a chance to attack.
She didn’t particularly think the woman needed help, especially with such weak humans. Clearly she was powerful. But Calliope wanted a chance to show her that they were on the same side. It was true, she had escaped her own master over a guilty conscious, but seeing now that the view of humans as trash was more widely viewed than she realized, perhaps they weren’t so wrong in the first place.
Regardless, she was not anyone’s tool. A comrade she could be. But not a tool for one to dispose of when they were finished with her.
A surge of anger shot through her at the thought of her wicked master.“You shouldn’t let your guard down,” she said. She thrust her open palm out before her towards the group of humans, and they were launched backwards into the wall at the end of the alleyway with a strong force.
While the humans were momentarily incapacitated, Calliope jumped down from her place on the roof to join the mysterious woman on the ground. She approached, careful to keep her arms visible in an attempt to show that she did not plan to fight her. She kept her wickedly joyous gaze on the woman.
“I don’t mean to take your fun,” she said. Her smile disappeared and she turned her fierce gaze back to the humans as they tried to return to their feet. “Finish them.”
Celia watched the woman as she talked in only small sections, hearing the people hit the wall didn’t really surprise her, it was a thing that would have happened one way or another. Though to see someone in this town actually wanting her to kill the humans that came around was not a sight she expected to see from someone so soon. Seeing as how the woman was empty handed and held a posture of someone more elegant rather than a fighting stance Celia had to admit she did let her guard down at that one second. Celia gave a squint as the woman claimed to not want to steal her fun away, and good for that Celia would not have taken lightly to someone doing that to her, hunting was the most enjoyable things she had in this city. Celia turned her back on the woman letting her scythe vanish into nothingness that is black energy and walked up to the first of the humans grabbing them by their shirt and pinning them to the wall with her left hand readying her demon arm to strike them.
“As you wish ‘Milady’ I will dispose of them quickly, don’t want to arse around and keep a lady waitin’.” Celia’s normal smile turned to one of a wicked state as she was quick to strike the man and turn him into dark energy that immediately flowed into the arm she struck him with. “I love the taste of regret around midnight~” Celia said this picking up the next person with her demon hand by the head, a soft crunch echoed in the alley as the person vanished into thin air once again, Celia’s demon arm now gave a soft red glow. “Oh that one had a family...too bad~” Celia let out a maniacal laugh as she didn’t even try anything special with the last and rath just pushed her foot down on the person's head until the vanished into the black energy. “Hum...that was the worst of the three...talk about saving the worst for last, but that’s just my luck. Now.” Celia turned to the woman who was standing there, Celia eyed her up and now, yeah she looked like the kind of person that didn’t like humans which is the kind of person that would be a demon’s friend. “What’s your name bird?”
Celia asked this knowing she hadn’t introduced herself, she did this on purpose because it let the woman know she wasn’t the one to go with human manners. Celia slowly moved closer to the woman as her demon hand burned down in a black flame to a normal arm with the white bandages wrapped around it, by now Celia thought it was quiet obvious she wasn’t human, not anymore at least. Celia was still unsure of the woman and hand her scythe hand ready to swing at the first sign of hostility towards her, though with how the lady had ‘saved her’ before it seemed that outcome would not be the one she was expecting to happen. Though she only found it natural to be cautious of a person who had said nearly nothing yet besides a few words enticing Celia to act upon something she was already going to do.
