My Brother
People think my brother is a bear Biting, intimidating, gnashing Waiting for a chance to bear his teeth. They think hockey's not fair When he goes crashing Into the boards with another child beneath.
People say my brother is a kākāpō Eating, playing, sleeping Never with too much thought. They say he's below Average competency. They're lying, He's not.
I know my brother is a pitbull, Sniffing, running, loving Looking big and acting small. His humour is never null, And hockey includes shoving. My brother is kind to all.
Pretentious Orchids
I hate my hometown, prim and proper and perfect. Each party its own clown, making me look like one in its shadow.
The day I failed, I walked in the garden the pretentious orchids judged my every step. A fallen angel gets no pardon, I would be shunned for my fall from grace.
Now I live alone, far away from where I did. Here we grow lilacs and daffodils, and my inhibitions are rid.
A poem written by my friend in English class
A fabricated collective;
Grimy canvasses,
Covered! in fuzzy vomit.
A sopping deficit of class.

Sing you a song
If I wrote you a poem, would you read it? Would you tell me it's good? Would you tell me the truth?
If I sang you a song, would you listen? Would you listen again? Would you forget it?
If I wrote you a song, would you listen? Would you tell me it's good? Would you have it?
Flowers
F lowing bright green,
L ight and delicate in death.
O nly small, but beautiful nonetheless.
W ilting like it had already accepted its end,
E ating its pride and failing its journey to spring.
R elentlessly, it tastes like its destination,
S ailing a sea of insignificance.

Was going through some papers from November and found this gem
Sick of saying sorry Sick of feeling guilt Why am I still sorry If you're gonna hit me with a hilt The meaning of life is to live So let me have my peace How do you sleep knowing your mansion of love has an expiration lease?
