Interesting kitchen. Delicious food, though.
50 cent Cambodian beer. Surprisingly alright.
Aspiring chef right here.
If you wish to follow my adventures in Southeast Asia, then check out my new blog. I leave in four days, so it's empty right now. However, I'll definitely be filling it with many many things once everything kicks off.
Who Will Take Care of My Gum While I'm Away?
I don’t know about you, but my pre-travel routine consists mainly of worrying. About everything. What if everything is more expensive that I budgeted for? What if I don’t like the food? What if the plane crashes at SFO? What if I get lost in the airport in Japan? What if my favorite movies are censored? What if I can’t get Felipe Massa’s autograph? What if I can’t get Mark Webber’s autograph?!?? What if the girls have penises? I mean, seriously, I may be jumping into the deep-end of the “let’s go live abroad” pool. This is a country where drug usage is met with the iron fist that is the Singapore criminal justice system, owning a car is basically for the wealthiest of the wealthy, and the weather is always “hot and sticky”. There are plenty of laws there to displease my American self, including no firearms, no importing/selling chewing gum, no jaywalking (yes, I know we have that here, but nobody follows it), and no pornography. But, you know what? Now that I think about it… I guess I don’t really need my three revolvers and eighteen shotguns, nor do I need my pack a day of Doublemint gum. I guess it can’t be too difficult to cross a street within the confines of a crosswalk, right? And shucks, I guess I’ll just have to get laid like normal people do. Additionally, Singapore is easily one of the safest countries on the planet. It’s also one of the smallest. Having a car would be bloody pointless! Plus, hot and sticky weather is basically synonymous with summer, and everybody loves summer! (Well, I do, at least.) I guess this won’t be so bad, after all! Yeah, I still have some questions…mostly about durian…but I’ll be fine. So, I guess I’ll just check “worry” off of my list, and continue to fulfill “be excited”. And what’s not to be excited about? I can’t wait to see my first Grand Prix, attend a concert for The Killers, eat at hawker stalls, get lost in translation, indulge in unhealthy food, go to a new school, make new friends, and get hit on by a transvestite …not necessarily in that order, of course. Therefore, I raise my glass of cheap, French mineral water and say cheers to a new adventure in Singapore.
I expect a similar image from China in a few weeks!!! FELIPE!
Woah. Something I coded from scratch actually works!???? I FEEL SO POWERFUL.
I'm in my RHCP phase. Again.
