it’s been a long time coming now , dog becomes a wolf , boy becomes a man . he hadn’t thought in all his short life that he’d leave home at such a young age . and yet - - - here he was . age twenty one , approximately one year after he opened the wolfgang funeral parlor . his first of many major accomplishments . and now - - - he is leaving to start up his next one . it’s difficult for the young man , to leave the safety of his home , the protection of his family . but most importantly , the love of his mother , to leave her side . his ghastly guardian , his greatest friend .
pale blue gaze lands on his mother’s tight clutch on his childhood toy . one he went nowhere without . he had planned on taking him with him and yet - - - . he knows what it’s about . she just wants a momento . something to hold when she thinks of her dear son and how far he’s come . he respects it . his heart aches , the painful expression on her face is almost enough to make him cancel the move . ALMOST . the man steps toward his matriarch , hand resting on the side of her face . ❛ keep it , mother . no worries . ❜

A MONSTER? OH, THAT’S RIDICULOUS! THERE’S NOBODY IN THERE BUT MY FAMILY!
Lily cannot have anymore children. Since she had Eddie fairly late into the game, ( & i mean fairly as in centuries late. ) her body, while NOT rotting or decaying, has reached a kind of “menopause.” Even before Lily struggled with conceiving children, her body, every doctor agreed was just not able to carry children. So when Eddie was born it was something of a miracle, Lily’s body was in agony all through the pregnancy and she could barely move toward the end of it, but to lily it was completely worth it and she would do it all again.
That’s why she was so open and eager to take Marilyn in, having always wanted a big family. ( & never being able to supply one is her biggest failure. )
