i have a really hard time with awkward silence so my therapist made my homework to sit in awkward silence and not panic and just like assume everything is fine and now it’s a running joke with my friends that any time a conversation dulls I’m “doing my homework” by just sitting there

#it’s actually quite wholesome #my discomfort with silence is very real but she’s counting her days as i type this #im glad my friends are woke like that and make jokes about it #it makes me feel better #apparently silence isn’t inherently awkward i just always think it means im flopping #they actually decided to make it more awkward by staring directly at me at random times silently #sigh

#two jokes made me laugh fr #one was when the man gave up flying the plane and put the inflatable pilot back in the pilot seat #the other was when they purposely used unfitting videos for the green screen while they were driving #not likely to watch again

the number of friends that replied to a post I made telling me they’d let me ravage the earth if I was an invasive species instead of killing me
