Melinoe, Greek goddess of the ghosts and the offerings made to the deceased.
Since I started with Hecate, I thought of drawing some more of the chtonic deities, the ones related to the underworld. Melinoe is not very well-known, but I find her really cool: she has arms half-light and half-darkness because sheâs said to be the daughter of Zeus and Persephone (INCEST), but others say sheâs a legitimate daughter of Hades and Persephone, each one of them representing darkness and light within the underworld. I prefer this version, of course. Also, Melinoe wandered the earth at night with her ghosts, an possible explanation for the unreasonable barking of dogs at night⊠Hm⊠Creepy.
