@murdeher
hey good morning, I’m never wrong
@vizla said // cooks her breakfast tbh.
he moves through the house like a ghost. even the rare times where he may sleep beside her, he still rouses awake without disturbing her. the day blooms, yellow and gold, pale sunlight through the window that douses the linoleum in warmth — such a home that lacks the feeling of life, it felt un - lived in, empty sometimes. there’s the hiss of fat in the heavy skillet, the scent of cornmeal batter, amy can only watch for a moment, enraptured, most of her weight leant into the opposite counter to him. ❝ you spoil me. ❞ teasing, if anything, something akin to amusement curling at her lips.
sam:
amy: im about to kill this man
amy in blood is so nice.
sleuthsts.
“ a couple of investigators , some police officers and myself are intrigued … i mean it’s not exactly a typical case . it’s more so for a study . none of what you say will be used to open the case again . ” amazing amy right ? that’s who this tragic incident happen to ? well now she can say she has something the book wont touch . a true tragedy from all perspectives . a story that captures your attention . amazing amy takes on the harsh reality of the world and the men in it . intriguing due to the nature of her husbands responses towards the loss , and the return . so stoic in interviews and pictures . a false smile hiding something more than a man who seems unbothered by the fact his wife had gone missing . who were the dunnes , really .
she feels raw, unbecoming. gaze drifts from his face, focuses past a particular spot over his shoulder. forces herself to remain poised with her response, swift blinking of her eyes ( poor amy, just who are you? ), cue the tears at the edges of her lashes, a nervous shift in her disposition, swell of her cheeks a warm - pink. accustomed to the spotlight and influx of attention, she blossoms to life underneath the string of questions, one hand rubbing anxiously at the column of her throat, delicate skin of her forehead crumbling as if pulled on strings. ❝ it’s nice to know my . . . endeavors are merely used for study. ❞ wistful shake of her head is next, kind of a disbelieving laugh that tastes acidic on her tongue. ❝ please, come in and sit. would you like anything to drink? ❞
Gone Girl (2014) dir. David Fincher.
❛ oh, i’m busy then. but i’m free tuesday ! ❜
@murdeher › ♡
she finds that it’s near impossible not to smile around ms. byers. lips tilt up, just at the edges, eyes crinkling. blonde hair brushes past her shoulders as she leans forward, keen and eager. ❝ tuesday? you should come over then, joyce. i’d love to have you for dinner. ❞
@murdeher : ❝ are you happy with the life you’re living ? ❞
LIFE DRAINS FROM HIS EYES AS IF HE HAD ANY LEFT . questions … unnecessary questions with answers that are needless to say . with that melody perpetually singing in her voice , he wonders if she speaks with as much sincerity as he would always hope for her to have . yet , with hollowness resting in the back of her throat , a dim fire always glowing through the shell of her eyes , seeming hidden in a nest of ember and perhaps waiting to explode at any moment , he figures she has values more vital than to be genuine with someone —- always watching her .
she simply seems to be more concerned about keeping him on his toes . and with unreadable expression , he makes sure to keep his qualms from brimming to the surface , prevents them from ever doing so little as exuding upon his features , or beyond them . shock and fear ( and trauma ; he’s beginning to think she knows which questions to ask ) are disputed only from within and , on the outside , he's as plain as ever . boring as brick . plans to stay stoic , to simply throw any punch right back at her .
burning cigarette perched between his fingers , he has to resist the urge of taking a puff and blowing smoke in her face . too typical , too traditional of insolence , she might just expect it . no , instead his fingers twitch , casually flicking ash into the tray , prompting his mouth to open . instead he returns her question with a question and , knowingly , asks her the same thing .
❝ are you ? ❞
her expression doesn’t change, impassive and apathetic at best. a slight tilt of her head, moon - gray eyes and fair lashes, folded hands among her lap. men, she finds, no longer difficult to discern, a loathing she’s manifested over the years, cared for and nurtured as a child, rooted deep within the flesh of her stomach. for a brief moment, amazing amy is silent, observing, the cindering end of his cigarette catching her attention. and then, she smiles.
her eyes are heavy, transfixed in a way. drifting away from his face to focus elsewhere, towards the far wall. smoke plumes in the space between them, wafts towards her in willowy tendrils, before dissipating. she’s tempted to reach across and pull the cigarette from his grasp, force it out with no hesitance. but she is a girl with a role to play, seizing the moment only when she sees fit. when she speaks, her voice is soft, melodic, comforting in its volume. ❝ don’t you have any manners, sam? or are you that determined to get some kind of rise out of me? surely you didn’t come such a long way to see me, just for this. ❞
ever think about how soft and tranquil amy’s voice is? because i sure do
Rosamund Pike on the set of Gone Girl holding Gillian Flynn’s novel ‘sharp objects’ .
HER FINGERS INTERTWINE IN HER LAP, ALWAYS FIDGETING AND MOVING. restless everything syndrome, it’s been pointed out goodnaturely by her parents numerous of times. slight smile, sharp at the edges, she has to brush away a length of hair when her head tilts. ❝ i’m sorry, i don’t mean to be rude. sometimes, i say things i don’t really mean. ❞ / @usafed!
