bruce banner?! the punisher?!?!?!? POSSIBILITY OF DAREDEVIL?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!? dare i say we are about to witness PEAK!!!!!!!!!!!
brand new day trailer has peter: holding the keys to the city in one hand, his unpaid bills in another, cleaning his suit in a washing mashine while leaning against it like he wants to die, standing alone at a party hosted by his friends who dont remember him, voiceover of the letter he didnt read to mj and ned, getting his ass beat multiple times, sitting over nyc watching a video of his old friends and promptly practically throwing himself off a cliff
and all this while looking ABSOLUTELY MISERABLE!! WE ARE SO BACKKKK
benophies story is so much more little mermaid coded than cinderella
like benedict meets the lady in silver and is actively searching for her whilst getting to know sophie - same way to how eric is trying to find his mystery lady whilst getting to know ariel!!
its legit the same AND benedict and eric literally look THE SAME!!!
yeah so i’m still thinking about this
frankenstein written by mary shelley was so obviously inspired by her solipsistic husband, percy bysse shelley. his narcissistic actions that were explained through his odd character seem to make a name for themselves as he caused a plethora of destruction and demise through his way of life.
similar to how shelley was a key figure in unlocking the worst in most people due to his radicalist views that almost certainly disagreed with 19th century values, victor frankenstein mirrors shelleys obsession with the sciences and his eccentric ideas that were deemed as very peculiar. shelleys lack of loyalty towards his wife and his lack of respect to his mentor (marys father) describes exactly how victor frankenstein was molded from the same clay that god molded percy bysse shelley from. mary shelley makes it evident how drastically the two mirror eachother and uses the creature as a physical manifestation created by victor (aka shelley) that is used to cause destruction to all those around him. a clear example is how shelley used his coercive affection and manipulated his first wife into believing her father oppressed which then caused her to be disowned after she eloped with shelly. that was not the only family he ruined as he then eloped with mary shelly, disrespecting her father’s (who was also his mentor) wishes. he took her step sister claire with them and had a rumoured sexual relationship with her - in doing so he also ruined his own family of 4 with his first wife as he left her and his child and unborn child. his wife later drowned herself which is ironic as percy bysse shelley died the same way. his further events of ruining families is also shown through marys other half sister who was also in love with percy and therefore comitted sucide. it is quite obvious how easily destruction followed him.
the creatures fate seems predestined as his actions mirror shelleys. when meeting the oldman and his family, almost immediately after he reveals himself to the family, the whole family dies drastically. his prophesied actions that don’t directly link him to the death still find a way to make him the center of the problem - as if his entire existence is the reason for death and destruction. the creature might not mean any harm but he is simply created for it. mary uses the creature to make a comment on shelleys character. his unintentional actions cause a multitude of problems that seem to directly effect mary and her family.
maybe she loved him at the start of their marriage but it is not easy to deny that after multiple miscarriages and affairs that she might have held some resentment for him.
