I usually draw with a nib pen and ink, so I use the first option, but when I'm away from home, I write with liners. I use the larger sizes for quick sketches — for example, on the metro or outside. If I want to draw something detailed and small (I'm uncomfortable with large paper formats haha), I use fine liners. Usually I have to be very focused with them, but the nib pen feels like an extension of my hand! Even so, I'm constantly nervous that I'll ruin everything (especially the hatching).
