Poppy has been with me a Claire a whole year now! When we adopted Popps she’d been in a really difficult situation and was a very nervous dog. She was very shy and afraid of other ppl and being outside. I think it’s really funny that I grew up in Dublin 5 mins walk from a St Mary’s Church and here I am living in Andover England where we just bought a house and funny enough I’m again living 5-10 mins from another St Mary’s 😂. This one is slightly more famous though, in AD 994 King Ethelred the Unready met with the Viking leader Olaf Tryggvason who converted to Christianity here. Witnessed by the King and his “earldormen”, Olaf was confirmed by Alphege Bishop of Winchester. He became Norway’s first Christian King, and never invaded England again.
