@musarumheros who wrote the hell out of yasha !
She couldn’t quite blame her to the point of not trusting her. As far as her track record went, Beau was a bit hit or miss when it came to leading the team away from danger. Leading anyone away from anything, really. Still, she was glad Yasha was back and hoped to give her something to look forward to and enjoy.
“Thing is– I figured you love punching just about as much as I do.” She murmured back, giving her a wry smile. Beauregard highly doubted that anyone liked punching quite as much as her. “There’s this place. At the bottom a butcher shop. Underground fight ring. Totally the best.”
And rounding the corner, she knocked on a door. Turning her attention away from Yasha, she addressed the man who showed up. “Two pieces of meat, on ice, for your special issue cut.”
“You’re taking me to fighting ring. Because I like to fight?” Yasha asked, her voice gentling, and a little of the stress going out of her shoulders as she rolled them.
Fists weren’t really her best medium. But letting go a little, after everything. Letting that anger out, she formed fists at her sides and quirked a smile. And then sighed.
“See the way you says that has me nervous again. That’s an ominous phrasing,” she said, dryly, leaning over Beau’s shoulder to whisper it to her. And really, she wasn’t sure she was ready for anything with anyone. But Beau taking her along to something like this, that she was pretty sure nobody else in the group would quite get.
Well it was nice. It was sweet, in a weird sort of way that Yasha liked.
