Well, it’s like a week late to make the announcement, but better late than never.

Their Despair Begins with You, the very last group I was a part of, has come to an early end.

Therefore this blog will be archived.

I had no plans to return to the DR OC fandom as an indie or group blog when my last group ended and all I can say is: it’s been fun.

There were ups and downs, and there are hatchets I still wish I can bury, but hey it’s life. I’ve had a great time roleplaying with Oneiroi Demos and helping out in Oneiroi Awaken, Nonary D3spair, and R Incorperated.

I don’t know what else I can say honestly….. Okay, okay, how about this?

Okay, I've been watching your blog and I'm really concerned. We don't talk as much anymore. But whatever is happening with your life now. I hope you've had at least one happy time, and I hope things work out in the end for you. Even if it's not as you planned it.

It's no big deal....Just the emotions from everything I've done wrong is resurfacing.... Full force.....

“W-wait, Hyun-Ae! Don’t… Don’t go yet, p-please…”

The magician had managed to turn himself onto his stomach and get himself somewhat up on his knees. Blood was dripping down one side of his desperate face and staining the sleeve with which he was blotting his nose. “Please, in-indulge a selfish l-little boy with mind issues, I-I beg of you… Can I at-at l-l-le-” He coughed, wincing from the pain. It was taxingly agonizing for him to stay conscious. 

“C-can I at least… get s-some contact in-info? I wanna r-remain in touch w-with someone who was cl-close to Haneul-san.” He attempted to get himself standing again with relative success, though his entire body felt unsteady. “I mean, i-if you’re not too disgusted wit’ me…” More bitter laughter from the boy in the middle of a breakdown. How vile he must seem.

Hyun-Ae didn’t even have to look to know she just knocked this kid through the bottom of the barrel. Hanging her head just ever so slightly, she marched right into the room and went straight to Haneul’s laptop bag. He should have some--yup!

With pen and notepad in hands, Hyun-Ae hastily scribbled her e-mail address and walked back to get the magician back on his feet. Poking the sticky note onto his chest, she simply huffed and returned to her “work.”

It's over/Katsuo's R Inc Endgame/Open

“Still. Things here, I don’t understand them. Inquisitores, I don’t know who they are but if they’re responsible for happened to Katsuo you can be sure i’ll make them pay one day. Today isn’t that day. Tell me what to do and i’ll do it. I need to get Katsuo or his body at least.I need to see him one last time.”

Teddi still didn’t know wether to cry of punch a wall. Hyun-ae or not he would destroy the building towering over him to find Katsuo. That was his current Goal. It felt like a dream, he wanted to wake up but he couldn’t quite shake the feeling of the breeze shaking up his spine. He was ready to go.

“Rebel idol. Sounds Stupid.” 

Teddi was smiling though it seemed as those Tears were pricking the sides of his eyes. Not waiting for a response Teddi walked past Hyun-Ae toward the building casting a large shadow.

“Yeah, I know it is.”

Hyun-Ae half-chuckled at the comment and simply nodded in agreement. However when she saw Teddi take off, she whistled a quick tune to get his attention. “The morgue’s off-site, mate. It shouldn’t be far from here.”

She looked around again and started towards the nearest business center. Hm, since she knew for sure Sun-Mi was able to trace ‘em, the main base of operations ought to be close by. Still, she couldn’t help but marvel at how much Lee planned. All this to avenge his sister? Bloody hell, man...

Minutes ticked by as they made their way towards the building. When they entered it with no problem, she started to mull over Teddi’s words.

“Enough blood’s been shed already. To put it bluntly, this mutual killing was already a means to get back at the Inquisitores. I say we’re the root of the problem because we started it all with the Mall of Despair. Don’t be stupid and aim for something as petty as revenge; if this hasn’t been any example, I’ll put it bluntly: you’ll never get out of this shit.”

It's over/Katsuo's R Inc Endgame/Open

Teddi Nodded at the explanation. It seemed sound right now. What was he supposed to do. He didn’t have the facts but it wasn’t like this was rocket science. He just had to go along with it for now. 

“Mutual meaning the community, Killing meaning murder, Whatever happened in there Katsuo was forced to kill people. I would really love to blame you, Well not you specifically but R inc i guess. But i can’t. Katsuo wouldn’t want me to blame you so i can’t.”

Teddi’s Eyes watered as a hand was extended out to him. He knew if he took it he’d have to follow whatever directions were given to him. But to put Katsuo to rest it was worth it. Was he really gone? Yeah….Teddi had felt it for a long time now. Katsuo was gone. 

“Takiji Tatsumi. I attend hopes peak academy with Katsu….I did attend Hopes peak with Katsuo.” Teddi reached out and took hold of Hyun-ae’s hand.

“Honestly, at the end of the day... It all roots back to us. Ito-ssi was backed into the corner, but--thankfully or not--he became a victim instead of a killer. Don’t worry, I’ll be serving my time along with the Inquistores soon enough, but I want to tie up as many threads as I can before the boys in blue come get me.”

It felt... Strange to actually submit to this fate, but she couldn’t say this wasn’t right. Hyun-Ae willingly aided a nationally-recognized terrorist group in their path to redemption; she was pretty much an accessory to the crime right? Giving the taken a hand a ginger shake, she turned around and scoped out the area.

“Hope’s Peak too? Heh, I was the former Rebel Idol there.”

“H-Haneul… I-I’m sorry…”

Makoto looked away, biting her lip.

“He… was a good person. I never… knew much about him, but… I always respected him.”

“I’m glad there were people who actually do...”

She sighed softly and rested her chin in her hand; words couldn’t even describe what she felt right now and admittedly she wasn’t even sure she knew if she was actually feeling. Papa had raised her to show no weakness, to show no mercy, but... It never settled right with her and... Well, she didn’t know what to do.

“I think I’m really sad that oppa died as some stupid means to get back at the Inquisitores, but.. I don’t know what to feel either... Hyun-Ae told me it was best to keep looking forward and honor their memories by living for them, but... I don’t know.”

Makoto looked away, biting her lip. She didn’t want to talk to anyone, she really didn’t. Her eyes darted from side to side. She didn’t want to talk, but… this girl was taking the time to talk. To her.

But still, learning that someone you loved died? Who could-

“I-I’m sorry… Who did… you lose…?”

Sun-Mi glanced up to Makoto and sighed softly. It seemed like she may have overstepped her boundaries, but... It really didn’t hurt to try, unnie would’ve done the same and maybe... Maybe oppa too.

“Haneul Kim. He was my older cousin...”

The punch sent Taj stumbling back a few steps before he lost his footing entirely and fell to the floor with a sharp thud. His head hit the ground a second before the rest of his body, a harsh noise coming from the impact. He lay on the ground, winded, his nose bleeding and one side of his face starting to develop a bruise. He shakily reached a hand to his head and rubbed it through his hair; his fingertips were bloody when he drew it back. His eyes, now filled with fear, looked back at Hyun-Ae and his entire body was quivering.

“I-I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I-I’m… ghaaahh… I freaked out, I was gonna-gonna lose it if-if-if I left him like th-that… It was a b-bad thing, I did bad things- ghhk-!” A tear had found its way into an open cut on his cheek. making him wince. “Pl-please… Please try to… Aheheh-heh-heh…” His request dissolved into a mixture of sorrowful laughter and tears. His trembling lips drew up into a pained (and painful) smile.

“Y-you can kill me if you want.” It was presented not as a method of appeasement, but as a legitimate offer. “Go ahead. I give y-you my full permission… It won’t bring H-Haneul-san back, though. I-if it did, I’d’ve…” He coughed, spitting some blood that had fallen into his mouth back out, and continued to smile, his tear-blurred eyes scared and melancholy, but at the same time, bright with anticipation.

“Never.”

Hyun-Ae’s topaz glared back at the demiboy and turned her back to him. If there was anything Haneul must have told this idiot, it was the fact that she was no killer. If he wanted to off himself, then he should do it with his own hands. She pulled out her cell phone and released a drawn out sigh.

“Get out of here. There’s an ambulance outside that can treat you, so get out of my sight and give some serious fucking thought into what you want to do with your life. I’ve got work to do.”

An Inquisitore… That explained a lot. “So, do you know if the AIs can be preserved  beyond this building? I mean, it’s probably going to be shut down by the  authorities within a year. Optimistically.” Taj fiddled with the chain of his cape, thinking about how to phrase his thoughts so they wouldn’t come across all wrong. “I mean, I’m planning to train myself more in channeling, but it would always be nice to have a more surefire way of communication.” He really hoped she wouldn’t ask him too much about his intentions. He could feel the lump building in his throat.

“Have you already seen the footage?” The question came out of him unexpectedly, innocently earnest in tone as a child who had made a mistake asking whether another was angry at them. It was an odd shift from the deliberate flatness of his speech earlier. He focused away from Hyun-Ae, now on the animatronic arms he was carrying, unable to stifle a slight garnet-colored flush of shame on his face. He elaborated no more on the inquiry, letting it simply… hang there.

“I’m not sure what’s the plan for the AIs now. Honestly... I think it would be better if they were erased.”

Wow, that was a lot harder to say than Hyun-Ae originally anticipated; they... They were just programs right? They could never be the actual replacements for everyone or anything like that. It was better for the dead to... Stay dead, right?

“And yeah... I saw that goddamn stunt you pulled off--” Sure enough, the Korean whirled around and slammed her fist right into his face. No restraints. “And it takes a lot of fucking nerve to desecrate the dead! If it weren’t for the fact that I saw how close you and Haneul got, you’d be dealing with a lot worse shit than that!”

He trailed behind the woman, watching her closely. What was she planning on doing in this tower of crushed souls? He simply shrugged at her when she told him that he only talked about his personal life to those he trusted. “Guess Haneul-san trusted me.”

He felt a small rush of giddy joy inside of him, quickly neutralized by the equal amount of melancholy that came soon afterwards.

“He told me that you were a nice person. That you helped him a lot when he was younger…” He almost vocally choked up. He really had to be more careful, huh. “He told me that he was really worried about you. When he w-was being tortured in the ‘execution’ they showed us, you were there, but you looked sorta like you do now and he was worried about how they found that out. B-because he hadn’t seen you since childhood, he told me.”

Hyun-Ae paused in front of Haneul’s room, her smile turned upside down just ever so slightly. Huh... That’s right her AI helped him out of that nightmare, but surely Mr. Genius hasn’t deduced it by now... Ah well, time to drop another bombshell.

“I’m an Inquistore, and to help in the AI part of our business I went through those same scans you guys did. I guess it also copied my helpful side and bailed Han out, which is just good news in general.”

She knocked on the door and relaxed when she saw the door swing in; ah so no one didn’t bother to close his room after all this. Tch, well it made her job easier at least. Walking in, she looked around and sighed softly.

“We never meant for this to happen, y’know...”
