And Now, Your Regularly Scheduled Inaba | Makoto | RE: Tim, etc
Makoto had a grand plan, to make a bold declaration in front of the trial, grab people’s attention… specifically that person’s. But plans change. She didn’t realize how little she actually knew about this, until Jack hurriedly pulled her aside before the trial. And with the further info passed along to her, Makoto took a deep breath, spending the majority of the trial thus far just reading. Catching herself up. Gods, there was a lot to wrap her head around.
What was going on in the trial, you say?
She couldn’t help but get just a touch distracted by Tim’s odd demeanor. It was off-putting, of course, but she dismissed it as him drinking way too much coffee, and/or being sleep deprived.
But it continued. And odder yet, he slipped back into his normal tone. It was then that it hit her like a ton of bricks. She had spoken to Hime, she knew things that had happened.
Was he REALLY going there?
Gritting her teeth, she waited for the discussion to quiet down. But she couldn’t just let that go. Not from him. Striding over to Tim’s end of the room, Makoto stopped next to him, pulling her hand back, before-
Giving the poet an open-handed slap across the face, with as much force as she could muster.
“What the FUCK are you trying to prove, huh? I know what happened there. You’re heartbroken? Well, grow the FUCK up, man! Knock this lame shit off, and take this seriously! You can mope later!”
She was almost spitting mad, staring him down for a few moments before turning on her heel and striding back to her podium. Turning to face the room once more, she looked down at the notes in front of her.
“Okay. Listen up. I know you’re watching us right now, and probably laughing at us for bumbling around like idiots. I know you’re showin’ all this for the world to see. I know you’re killing off the members of the class that built this place, and I know you’re blackmailing someone into trying to kill the 81st class member hiding among us.”
Oh boy. She was riled up. She clenched a fist, pounding the podium in front of her.
“I don’t know why you’re doing this, but one thing’s for sure. I’m gonna figure out who you are. And I’m gonna expose you to the world! You hear me? You can’t hide from us… You can’t hide from the truth!”
Taking a few deep breaths, she crossed her arms.
“For now, though, we have other murders to solve. Just know that we know you’re here. Don’t you forget that. You know who you are…”
