inside the cage

found in - bamboo forests

impersonates a white stalk of bamboo, impregnates women when they walk too close, baby is born out of a bamboo shoot, children drink the water and then must submit to the will of the magari-dake, once the water has been drunk, you cannot stray away from the stalk

USOBUKI

pretense of spring

found in - mountains

feeds on the life force of animals, appear as flowers on trees in the winter (creating the illusion of spring), and a butterfly in the spring, when the metamorphosis between the two stages occurs, those who have been taken victim will wake up, as it is the beginning of spring

KAGEDAMA

dawn snake

found in - shadows of trees, human brain

resides in shadows, when animals rest in the shade, the kagedama enters through the ear and embeds itself in the brain, eating the hosts’ memories, it’s only known weakness is sunlight, but it cannot be removed once it enters a host

URO

picking empty cocoons

found in - enclosed spaces

occupy empty cocoons, when they occupy a double cocoon, it can be split into two, and a pathway is created between the two cocoons by the uro, in areas with uro, doors should never be closed, for uro cannot live in open spaces, if a human is trapped in a space with an uro, when a door is opened, the uro will flee and take the human with it

UBUSUNA

the mountain bearing robe

found in - plant life in native region

A dirt-like mushi, only in dirt form when underground, become smoggy mist when they rise, exist where there is a scent of their home, humans take them in when they eat, not very strong

TENPENGUSA

a string in the sky

found - among the stars

also called Mayoiboshi, look like squirming stars, when they cant get enough food, they extend a tentacle down to the surface of earth that looks like a string, and when an animal touches it, it pulls it up to the sky to devour it, to remedy, need medicine and will to remain human

YONOWARU

those who inhale the dew

found in - morning glories

infests itself in host's nose after they smell the flower, synchronizes it's biological clock with that of the host, giving the host a day-long life span, dies at night, reborn in the morning, removed by tapping a glass needle on the host's forhead

IMENONOAWAI

the pillow pathway

found in - dreams

create a bridge between the mushi world and the human world, cause dreams to come to life, live in pillows and cause harm to the host when the pillow is harmed, dissolve when exposed to light
