Lie To Me: Part 1

Hi again everyone! Thank you so much for the feedback. I’m really conscious of this fic I’ve written, it’s still WIP but well, this is kinda Part 1? I have the general plot but the words just won’t come through. Sometimes I can’t English and it really lowers my self-confidence in writing. I always have this feeling that my writing can never be at par with other native speakers or those with better English writing skills than me. I haven’t checked this fic in a year. 

Sorry for the rambling thoughts. Here it is (yikes!).

Lie To Me (Part 1) Summary: He’d grown familiar with the vehicle due to this strange arrangement he had with the star athlete of their high school, Alfred F. Jones. Warnings: “friends” with benefits, US/others, pining, denial, heartbreak, angst, mentions of sex

It was almost eight in the evening – just a few minutes before their agreed meeting time. Arthur was already waiting inside a café the other teenager suggested, so as to not make their meeting conspicuous. His phone then buzzed and green eyes peered down at the mobile device, pressing the unlock keys and then reading the new text message:

Im in the parking lot

Arthur smiled wryly at the missing apostrophe and thought, ‘He’s quite early today.’ His face then became somber. He stood up and left his seat, making his way towards the exit. He went to the parking lot and saw, at the far end, the blue car with tinted windows waiting for him. He’d grown familiar with the vehicle due to this strange arrangement he had with the star athlete of their high school, Alfred F. Jones.
