La Mar - Trick Of The Light
This guy was born to sing and to stand out while he does it. Listen to that voice.
RKCB - Baptize
This is one of my favorite songs of all time, and I don’t think it’s hard to hear why. That chorus, though.
B. Miles - Nine Matches
If a water droplet falling into a large body of water (shot in black & white, slow motion) was recorded, this would probs be the background track.
That may not make a bit of sense, but this song does, and it’s good.
Lawrence Taylor - Bang Bang
The soul in this guy’s voice...He just gets it.
Nao - Inhale Exhale
Listen to this song without dancing...I dare you.
Sevdaliza - Marilyn Monroe
I am in love with everything about this song, and that may be because Sevdaliza has pulled off barely even singing on this track, since the chorus is just her emitting these “ho ha ha” sounds in different keys, and it’s brilliant––BRILLIANT.
Foals - London Thunder
The build-up of this song is phenomenal.........
Jamie Woon - Sharpness
This beat is so nice...no too much, not too little, just enough to put on a white suit and strut down the sidewalk.
Seoul - Stay With Us
I haven’t posted a song in a while, but I’ll start back up with this one.
I feel like his is the theme song for the perfect Indie road trip montage. It makes you want to gather a group of cool friends that you may not even have and just drive by the horizon of a beach...at least that rings true for me.
Atlas Genius - Friends With Enemies
First 10 seconds of this––I was hooked. I must admit, though, I wasn’t as happy with the turn the song takes during the chorus, because I love how dark the verses are, but it’s Atlas Genius, I shouldn’t have expected it to sound depressing the whole time. Still, this is a great song!
Danielle Parente - Very Last Breath (5 Minute Stares)
All I can say about this song is UNNNNNFFFFF, it gives me those music butterflies, you know what I’m talking about.
Charlie Puth - Suffer
You know exactly who this guy is. This is the guy that sings the chorus for Wiz Khalifa’s trash radio hit “See You Again” and I cannot express my hatred for that song, but I am able to recognize when someone has a great voice, and I recognized that Charlie did. So, I did not blame him for how terrible that song is, and I was happy to find that he indeed DOES have the ability to use his gorgeous voice for good, as demonstrated in this sexy af song.
SOS - She Wants
SOS went into the studio and just threw up talent all over this beat.
Devon Baldwin - Refuse
This song makes me feel things for a boyfriend that I don’t even have.
Boots - Mercy
This song is nice and dark and slow and when I drive to it at night, I cannot help but feel like I am the star of a music video. His voice has just the right amount of creepy - just enough to where it’s not even creepy, it’s beautiful.
George Maple - Talk Talk
It’s rare when I like a song like this. (It sounds like something you’d probably play during a club scene of some night-time drama) But I really do love this song...
Kevin Garrett - Control
Kevin Garrett’s voice is incredible, and he has an impeccable grasp on good music. This is my favorite from him, but he has such good songs, it’s ridiculous.
