Alan Rickman’s last lines as an actor.
Rest in forever peace, Rickman.
Alan Rickman as Severus Snape
“I approach every part I’m asked to do and decide to do from exactly the same angle: who is this person, what does he want, how does he attempt to get it, and what happens to him when he doesn’t get it, or if he does?” — Alan Rickman
with every celebrity who sadly passes and the scandals around them we hear I’m so glad the worst we ever heard about Alan Rickman was him bringing friends children to set when he was not really meant to but no body wanted to tell him. He really is an incredible loss.
Devastated about Alan Rickman’s unexpected death. No one else could have played such a wonderfully complex character as Snape, and indeed no one else can imagine Snape any different. RIP.
Alan Rickman as Severus Snape. I painted Alan as my favourite not-quite-bad-guy, because that was definitely the portrayal that influenced me, and many of my friends, most.
On a broader scale, Alan made every character he played relatable, and I kind of wanted to like all of them even though they were major douchebags sometimes. Maybe that is what made him such a great actor, because he always created three-dimensional characters that were never just good, or just evil…
Style’s a bit different from what I usually do, but there you have it.
Sad to have lost another great.
Colonel Brandon was now as happy, as all those who best loved him, believed he deserved to be;—in Marianne he was consoled for every past affliction;—her regard and her society restored his mind to animation, and his spirits to cheerfulness; and that Marianne found her own happiness in forming his, was equally the persuasion and delight of each observing friend.

Rise of the Portraits
Alan Rickman’s letter to his 16-year old self [x] (Yes, I’m aware he’s 18 in the top photo shhh it’s close enough.)
“I’ve always been a little bit in awe of Alan because he’s always been incredibly solicitous of me. I wasn’t long out of drama school when I first met him. I was quite green and unsure of myself. He seemed to have an instinct for people who were in need of guidance of some kind. I’m in my mid-50s now — our age difference isn’t that vast — but I always saw him not as an older person but as someone who took me under his wing. There are some people you didn’t know how much they meant to you until you miss them, and I think Alan is one of those people. He wasn’t a person I expected to see on a daily basis, but I didn’t realize how important it was to me to have Alan there until we got the news.“
