I decided to recreate Harry’s tour wardrobe on Bawk-Bawks™ - tiny stuffed chickens. I have no idea why I decided I had to do this, but it’s been an adventure so far. They are all handmade. Mostly hand-sewn although I do use my sewing machine sometimes to create fabric patterns. Some are hand-painted. Part of the challenge is to use supplies I have on hand.

I’m annoyed by people who say “I actually like Harry’s music” or “I didn’t think I’d like Niall’s songs, but I do.”
But what annoys me more is people who complain about that and then say “if they’d just look past One Direction’s early stuff they’d know they’re actually good.” Like SHUT. UP. Their early stuff saved my soul AND IT STILL DOES. If people want to like the new stuff, great, but let me tell you, when WMYB comes on, my windows are rolled down and I am screaming every lyric from now until the end of my life. That shit is part of me and my loyalty starts at those first guitar chords and cowbell hits of WMYB.

My hand-stamped necklace and bracelet from Emotional Roadshow in Madison on 1.31.17. The 2nd photo is the back of the bracelet. They didn’t play it, but I love “The Pantaloon,” so I stamped “bc a chair now” on the back.
I was excited to be there, but I did not realize just how much until I had almost puked at the end of “Migraine” (3 songs into the setlist) from not taking a breath and screaming every single word. Zero self-control. It was glorious.
I have seen hundreds of shows in my lifetime. And what I know is when the opportunity to see live music arises, you must go. Whether you’re in a small club or a filled football stadium - music is healing. Being with other people who love it too is healing. So go. Go see some live music. Do it soon.
P.S. if you also almost puked from excitement 3 songs into the ERS setlist I’d love to hear about it.

I saw Twenty One Pilots the other night in Madison. It was amazing. I was in the pit and I am short and couldn’t see much, but it didn’t matter. It was 2 hours of pure joy. If you have the chance, go. Tyler and Josh and their crew put on a great show.
The world is a crazy place these days. Thank you, Josh and Tyler, for giving people a reason to dance and sing and cry and just...exist for a few hours.
