My contribution to the @hermitszine as a contributer for the Phasmaphobia group. This is my first time trying to paint a "night scene" with alcohol markers and gotta say, we had fun picking out which haunt to draw out :)

I dunno, a doodle of Selkie!Cub and Siren!Scar.

For Cub, I think that he would only wear pants around Grian (despite Grian wishing that Cub would also wear a shirt because 'his selkie cloak doesn't count as one'). If I recall correctly, when Selkies wear their seal dress again, they "shed" off any human clothes that they were wearing and resume their natural, naked seal self again. But Cub has definitely stolen Grian's wooly socks right out of his room because of how warm they are. (Also, this is my headcanon, but I was thinking that maybe at some point Cub had some sea debris wrapped around his flipper/foot before and, as a result, has caused scarring and the occasional pain to his leg because humans suck-)

(Because of this, Cub doesn't like humans and just allows Scar to consume any unfortunate sailor that had fallen overboard into their waters. However, admittedly he can't help but feel curious about lighthouse keeper Grian and the strange lighthouse that he watches over-)

As for Scar, I don't think he has a "land form", maybe he's unable to "change forms" like Cub can. I think he permanently only has his fins and no legs to use. However, Scar can breathe the air outside of the water for a long, extended period of time so he can just sunbathe on the rocks or easily get caught up with any shenanigans Cub has planned. And in Siren fashion, Scar has a taste more for human flesh rather than for fish & squid like Cub does.

So for my Final/First art of the Old and New year, decided to try to use my watercolors to try to paint this idea that I've had in my mind for a long while. Admittedly, it was just only going to be Past!Convex with Cub's horse Pyrrha, but decided that for the end of the year 2025, I decided that Future Scar and Cub looking up at the same mystical skies, as their past selves had done, was much more fitting. :)

Took some passive persuasion from my friend but finally decided to try painting with watercolors again (after nearly 15 years) for fun so, I decided to paint a Cubfan-

Inspired by @galaxy-lilies Lighthouse AU where Grian is a lighthouse keeper, Scar is a man-eating Siren who preys upon shipwrecked sailors, and Cub is a Selkie who's sometimes there with Scar to help him on his eating adventures.

His eyes flicked back towards the photo of the young man. Even though it was a cropped, black and white photo of the man, Cub could make out that he wasn’t alone in the photo. There was an arm slung around his shoulder, pulling Mumbo into a partial hug. They must have been posing for a photo together since Mumbo had a beaming wide smile on his face. His expressive eyes looking down and off to the side instead of directly at the camera. Joyfully meeting eyes with the face that the photo had been separated from.

And from the person that he had left behind.

Just finished watching Cub's Sculk episodes and honestly just wanted to draw him breaking stuff (basically what would happen if False and Pixl tried locking him in a room instead-)

The desks were just a little messy as always– Cub was never one to leave his work for long, so he really never saw the point in putting it away. The only area that was truly immaculate was the area where he made his potions, and the cozy spot he always kept available for patients, should the need arise."
