Clairos album Immunity is easy, breezy, simple and pretty.
In terms of attitude the album almost has a sort of Urban Outfitters "I'm too cool too care" or âIâm a teenager and too cool for schoolâ tone to it, but I think this speaks to her age, and I mean this in a good way because I love it and she delivers her vocals effortlessly. I guess thats just it...sheâs not trying too hard because she doesn't have to she just is really cool. However if you listen closely, some of the lyrics deal with some heavier topics like suicide on Alewife.
Album stand outs for me include Closer To You which is more like gentle r&b/pop, bedroom trap beat and all... which is a nice reminder of where she came from.
And my favourite track Bags which has an early nineties alternative rock feel to it and actually reminds me some people I listened to a lot growing up, like Helium and Hayden, etc. She can go from alternative to r&b and I what I like about the album is that although it plays through as almost a soft rock alternative album  it still shows her range.
Clairos first album is beautiful and Iâm not really surprised. I have expected this from her ever since I heard her first single on soundcloud and posted about it in 2017. As an artists I think she has a lot of room for growth because well she is really young but she has done amazing things from her bedroom with the internet and she just has a really nice voice, itâs that simple.
You canât really argue with a sweet Vocal.
